COMCO: Swatch Group Can Stop Mechanical Movement Sales in 2020
Switzerland's Competition Commission (COMCO) has approved a plan allowing the Swatch Group to reduce gradually sales of mechanical movements to companies outside the group over the next six years, and to halt sales completely in 2020. Click here for details on the ruling. The mechanical movement ruling settles a controversial issue that has bedeviled the Swiss watch industry for the past four years. On the related C and even more controversial C issue of sales of escapements, the regulating organ in a mechanical watch, COMCO left in place its July 12 ruling that it is premature to allow any reductions in Swatch Group sales of those key components. The Swatch Group issued no formal reaction to the decision on mechanical movements. But it is a clear victory for the company, which declared its intention to stop selling mechanical movements and parts in late 2009. In June 2011, the Swatch Group officially informed COMCO of its decision and asked COMCO to rule on the matter. The Swatch Group

Convert GMT 116710LN to Pepsi 126710BLRO
So now that Rolex has stainless GMT Pepsi, assuming I keep my Oyster bracelet how much might it cost to convert my 116710LN to a 126710BLRODial, Hands, and insert should do it, right?
Questions about my no date sub
I recently purchased a used (mint condition) no date sub. The seller stated that the watch is a ref # 14060 manufactured in 1999.I was surprised when I turned the bezel that it did not click and that it turned in both directions. I know the older subs were bi directional with the click when turning, but it was my understanding that the newer subs were uni directional (counter clockwise only).Any idea what year Rolex changed this on the no date sub?Is it possible for a 14060 made in 1999 to have a bi directional bezel? It is possible to verify the manufacture date of the watch? Possibly from the serial #?One last question. How many links are supposed to be on the bracelet for a watch of my vintage? Thanks for your insight.
Pre-owned BLNR from AD
Hey everyone, I went to the AD who helped me out with fake tt sub I bought on ebay. I told them I would like to buy a new watch from them, a BLNR. None in stock, but they had an excellent condition BLNR from 2014 for 8k. I was tempted but decided to go on the wait list. She told me it should be maybe a couple months. I was good with that but thought about turning around a few times on my way home, lol. Not many BLNRs out there, but I would love a brand new one for msrp, even if I have to wait a bit. What would you have done?
