The new Bulgari Octo Finissimo Tourbillon is thin, really thin. In fact, this watch houses the thinnest movement with a flying tourbillon ever created – coming in at just 1.95mm. That's around the thickness of a nickel (think about that for a moment). The movement, with 249 components, was designed first around the tourbillon cage, which determined the final thickness (or thinness). It's a remarkable feat of engineering and design that no watch enthusiast can ignore.Every millimeter counts when designing a watch of this profound thinness. To save more space, the regulator assembly was removed, with timing adjustments now made directly on the balance wheel. With Patek's manual winding watches like the 5070 or the 3919, can you wind them too much, or do you just wind them until the crown won't go any further? And, is it best to wind them fully each time, or only wind them enough for a day or two?

My Polar on a Zulu
I love it on the bracelet, but always wanted to add a bit of color. I guess its time to change it up a bit. I haven't worn a NATO or Zulu strap in forever. It definitely dresses it down a notch, but I like it. I think I'll stick with this for a while.
