Itay Noy X-Ray & Netline Watches Close Up
For 2011 Israeli watch maker Itay Noy offers new pieces including the X-Ray and Netline collection. Of the watches use a new case that offers the same Itay Noy type of smooth look and feel with a new shape that includes bulging case screws. The cases are on the larger side at 44.6mm wide but are wearable on the wrist. They both play with the concept of skeletonization and feature Swiss ETA Unitas 6497 manually wound movements done in various styles.Spending time with the watches I used my macro lens to capture some of their finer details. The X-Ray is a clever concept that has a dial mimicking an x-ray machine. What you see is a monochromatic outline of exactly what is underneath in the movement. Being an actual representation of what is under the dial is so unique. The X-Ray comes in a few dial styles, but the black and silver is my favorite. The X-Ray is really about appreciating technical drawings and schematics. The watch world is full of them, although consumers rarely see them. Th
Certina DS Rookie Watch
In addition to Tissot, Certina offers nicely designed Swiss watches are affordable prices, and is part of the Swatch Group. While not as common in the US, there are some real nice Certina timepieces that should be considered when looking for a decently priced quartz watch. Though there are mechanical Certina watches available as well. Basically, Certina watches are priced in the 200 - 2,000 euro zone.Almost all Certina sport watches have a name that starts with "DS." This stands for "Double Security" and is more a safe sounding name than impressive technology. It just means that their cases are durable (not sure just HOW durable), are 100 meters water resistant, and have sapphire crystals. This watch is the DS Rookie, a funny sounding name for a good youthful timepiece that doesn't look chintzy. At 40mm wide, Certina is literally aiming straight at the young make demographic with this watch - those more mature adults who prefer 40mm wide cases will find the DS Rooking a good wear. The
First Panera
I am about to purchase my first panerai. My question is around size...42 vs 44 vs 47...I now wear a 39.5 IWC Portuguese that wears big but wars perfectly on me...But the panerai 44 and 47 mm sizes concern me as bring too overpowering. Average size wrist, etc. Thoughts?

Hello all...Have come across 1 my fave watches of all time second hand in a high end watch retailer...It is a 2012 daytonaC rose gold with box and papersAnd is going for 16450. I may be able to get it for 16k.Do you guys think this is a good second hand price? I know depends on condition but im guessing its 9/10 minimum as all their watches are top quality. How much do tou guys think i would lose on that if god forbid 1 day i had to sell it?Cheers pic below
