Breguet Tourbillon Clock Installed at Carnegie Hall
On Wednesday evening, Breguet kicked off its new sponsorship of New York’s Carnegie Hall, starting with the 2012-2013 season, with a grand gesture: the unveiling of a specially crafted Breguet tourbillon clock in Carnegie Hall’s Morse Lobby.?The unveiling of the clock by Breguet U.S brand manager Michael Nelson, Carnegie Hall artistic director Clive Gillinson, and financier and Carnegie Hall board chairman Sandy Weill took place prior to the opening-night gala benefit concert, which featured the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and music director Riccardo Muti, along with the Chicago Children’s Choir and soloists Rosa Feola, Antonio Giovanni and Audun Iversen. Breguet, which also sponsored the opening night gala dinner after the performance, has now become the official “Exclusive Timepiece” of Carnegie Hall. The dinner was held in the Grand Ballroom of the nearby Waldorf-Astoria Hotel. The clock, which is modeled on Breguet's original tourbillon timepiece des

Introducing The A. Lange & S?hne Langematik Perpetual Now In White Gold With Black Dial
Guten Morgen! And indeed it will be a good one for watch aficionados everywhere. That’s because A. Lange & Söhne unveils a new Langematik Perpetual today. We’ve covered Lange perpetual’s before (check out our Hands-On with the Richard Lange Terraluna) and even a Langematik – the one Walter Lange wears regularly. This latest release will introduce us to a new black-dial perpetual calendar in white gold. The case is a classic 38.5 mm of finely polished gold on the top and a brushed circumference around the side. Three recessed pushers are evident on the left circumference of the case at 8, 9 and 10 o’clock; a fourth is visible at 4 o’clock. These are for advancing the calendar displays either collectively or independently. The case is a rather slim 10.2 mm thick. The dial is black solid-silver. There’s a lot of careful geometry here. The rhodium-gold appliques are on a raised portion of the dial, which cuts around the four subdials of mon
5711 price / availability in USA
I have two questions.I am from Europe (germany) and in our country its not easy to get a new Patek 5711. Waiting time about 1-2 years. Is it the same in USA ? What is the current price for a 5711 in USA ?
Nautilus vs Sub
I just recieved a PM requesting whether the 5711 possibly wore larger than a 116618 considering the fixed lugs on the Nautilus might be longer. They requested some wrist shots to determine the difference. The Nautilus actually wears a lot smaller than your 116618. I have a 16610LV and if anything the lugs are just a bit longer on the Sub than the Nautilus. The big difference however will be in the thickness of the watch. The 5711 is extremely thin when comparted to the 16610, and it will be even more so when compared to your 116618. The movement on the 5711 is only 3.3 mm thick and the case reflects this.So much so, that one should really check it out in person. I would consider the 5711 to be a very elegant sports watch, that may or may not appeal to some people. Most Patek ADs will have some form of Nautilus on hand, unfortunately not all will have a 5711 on hand. The case diameter and lug size will be the same for all versions, however the major diffference between the 5711 and other
