Incoming finally has arrived
Hello fellow AP enthusiast, its nice to meet you all Ive received my ravishing Diver and its my very first AP, I must say... I'm frick'in in LOVE!!! I truly believe this watch beats out any of my own Rolex's, Pam's and even my Blancpain fifty fathoms! I am proud to be a member of your AP forum
incoming 15300!
Hi all!I have had the 15300 for a few weeks now and an incoming was long overdue! I've seen the Royal Oak for the first time on a window display in a watch boutique in Basel during my vacation and was smitten since, and the more I studied into it, the more I realised what an iconic watch it is.Long story short, I've wanted a 39 due to a small wrist and wanted it new-ish and how lucky am I to have purchased it from a TRF member Armin which made it even more special ! It was close to new and a late 2012 purchase. Perfect!I am in Australia and had a colleague attending the CES in Vegas and had it shipped there. One week later, my colleague handed over the watch and the rest is history! Royal Oaks are a classic and definitely a keeper and it looks stunning. Photo time! I took it to Singapore the next day on a business trip and had the bracelet adjusted at the local AD. view from the hotelWore it on a date in a Tapas bar in Singapore. Took my AP on another flight to BangkokWitnessed Bangk
Calatrava Advice? (This or That Content)
I'm planning for my #2 Patek. I have a Nautilus chrono 5980/1A as a sporty daily wearer. Now I want a dress watch from the same manufacturer. My favorites are the 5120And the 5296What I love about the 5120 is that it is what I think of when I think dress watch. Elegant and iconic, two hands and no date. It would be neat to have a micro-rotor for a change. At 35mm, I am concerned it may become too small, although I have tried it on and like it at the moment (7.5 wrist). The 5296 I have owned before and loved, but I needed the equity to secure my Nautilus (no regrets!) and traded it. I love the size. I also love the flexibility in terms of wardrobe: it dresses up nicely on a shiny black strap, and looks good with jeans and a polo shirt when it has a matte chestnut brown strap on it. My other minor concern is resale. Chances are I'll add cash/watches to it to upgrade to a 5205 down the road. Thanks to all who advise saving up for what I want but what I want at the moment is one of these Cal
5164, 5167, 5980 -- sf
I am in San Francisco for the weekend and just passed a store named Shreve & Co which turns out to be an authorized Patek dealer. In stock they had the 5164, 5167, 5980 (Blue AND White), among others. I know some of these pieces are hard to find, so just figured I'd share in case anyone was interested!
It's arrived! Daytona 116509 black dial!
My grail watch has landed!!! Sorry to be so excited about it but it's my most expensive watch yet and for it is so special!I wanted a chronograph to go into my collection and I got a Tudor Fast rider Blackshield but the moment I got it I regretted it. That started a thought process in my mind, I ended up giving up my 116622 blue along with the fastrider (plus cash) and ended up with imo one of the top if not the top chronograph watch!Sorry about the crap quality photo!
