Introducing: The Vacheron Constantin Overseas Self-Winding With New Caliber 5100
For serious watch enthusiasts there’s pretty much nothing more interesting than the launch of a new movement, and Vacheron Constantin has just introduced a brand new self-winding movement in an Overseas case; it’ll be offered in either stainless steel or 18k pink gold. This is an in-house movement, Vacheron caliber 5100, beating at 28,800 vph, with two mainspring barrels and a 60 hour power reserve. 1 OF 4 2 OF 43 OF 4 4 OF 4 The movement has a 22k gold weight for the automatic winding system, and the watch is water resistant to 150 meters. One of the most notable features of the watch is that it’s being delivered, in stainless steel, with two straps and a stainless steel bracelet, and they’re interchangeable. The pink gold model comes with a leather strap, as well as a rubber strap. Dials are in sunburst blue or silver, and the both models are certified by the Hallmark of Geneva (Geneva Seal). AP 15400 to the service centre
Right side of the deployant push piece fell off.I did not know when and I did not know how.The watch have been sent back to my AD which will send it to the service centre.Might take a month... sigh...Realized it today when the clasp push piece start digging into my wrist making it feel uncomfortable.The push piece for the left side is still intact but I am asking them to apply more loctite or whatever that they do to tighten it up so that it will not suffer the same fate as the right sided sibling.Yeah I am abit disappointed but will wait till everything is done and will reserve comments of the overall experience til then.

Hi everyone.. Just a quick question. I just 'inherited' a EOD from my FIL and it is in pretty bad condition, rubber pusher need replacement and the PVD coating need complete refurbishment. Just wondering, is there a rubber strap option for this model? The lugs are completely different from our morden day's ROO. What are my options?Btw.. The EOD really reminded me of the BB.. Only if BB have a set of yellow hands, I would have bought one in a heartbeat. Anyway.. Love the yellow on black theme and much prefer ceramic and FC over PVD.
