IWC Watches @ SIHH 2010
Here is a little bit of nice watch porn courtesy of my camera and IWC (don't get upset for me using such language IWC, it is OK for a man to get horologically aroused).There is a watch in here for everyone. New for 2010 watches that are missing however, is the new IWC Portuguese Yacht Club Chronograph watch that I discussed separately here. Omega Moon Watch What Year?
I was looking at an Omega Moon Watch, which was believed to be all original. The case back said 74 but the serial number indicated it was a 69. I have been hearing that back then it was common to build the internal parts and have them sit on shelves before final assembly, often years later so the case backs could be far off on dates. Any info or ideas?

Pronouncing Patek
Yes, dumbest question ever. As Don Adams would say, Sorry about that chief!When I hear Patek Philippe pronounced, usually it seems different depending on whether one is saying Patek or Patek Philippe. Patek Philippe seems to be pronounced in a French way, Pah-tek with the accent on tek.But when saying Patek for short, it seems like people frequently say, Pa-dick with the accent on the Pa.Is this my imagination?

Incameing - For Her!
Shreve & Co in Palo Alto was having a Panerai event last Thursday and as my favorite salesperson Lisa says, The best place to buy a Panerai is at a Panerai event.I had picked out the 523 ahead of time as the one that my wife would need to get. Lisa pulled it out and I had my wife model it for the corporate reps they had out who all agreed with me that it looked amazing.
