Winding new Patek manual chrono
I picked up a 5271P about 2 weeks ago and it's my first manual wind timepiece. I have been winding it each morning until the very strong resistance is felt - where is literally doesn't feel like it can be wound more without damage. Is this okay or should I be winding it less? Sometimes I can feel some resistance before it hits that hard resistance point - should I stop winding it there? I wish it had a power reserve meter...
Another day, another PAM
This is probably my most comfortable 47mm on the wrist because of the low weight.
16800 purchase advice
I'm still learning about Rolex (the deeper you go, the more you get lost) and have found I don't like the latest generation of Rolexes. I've been looking for something reasonable that had a vintage vibe to it. Ideally a 5513 but the ones with nice Patina seem to go for too much. I started looking at 1680 as I like the date wheel with the open 6 and 9. I came across this 16800 that has a nice dark patina to the markers and a ghosted bezel.Could you tell me if there's anything wrong with the watch and the price? So I know what to look for next time. Also, would you avoid purchasing from an international seller? And will I get hit with customs if I purchase internationally? chrono24 won't give me the links for the pics so I'll just provide the link to the watch I'm looking at - https://.chrono24/rolex/subma...-id7955375.htm
Datejust - water / steam
Probably ridiculous questions, but with my luck I guess ill ask so I don't regret later. So I don't have a sports rolex watch like a sub, YM or GMT - which I guess are on a totally different level, I do have breitling superocean which I swam with many times and that watch is a tank. However with the new datejust I am a little skeptical. Is it safe to take it out for a swim in pool / ocean? Obviously no one can predict if bracelet links will come off, but rather in terms of water-proofness? Second question, wearing it in sauna - is that safe, in terms of steam entering the watch thru the seals?
