Thinking about selling my Speedy Pro for a GMT II - Thoughts?
Hi guys,I've been lurking for a while but finally decided to post a thread and seek some guidance. I have a modest watch collection that began with the purchase of my Speedy Pro in 2007. It was somewhat of a whim, but it's been my almost daily wearer for 7 years. The fact that it has such a unique history (flight qualified by NASA! It says so on the case back after all ;) ) has been a reliable conversation starter for me (I even talked it up on my first date with my now wife -- if she thought I was a nut she never let on). The 16710 GMT II has always been a favorite of mine, and now I'm feeling a pull towards it. I like my Speedy but it isn't a perfect daily watch; it's a little clunky, a little uncomfortable, and the hesalite crystal gets scratched way too easily. I've also never worn it to go swimming because part of me never trusted the non screw down crown. If I got a pre-loved 16710 it would take the place of my Speedy and be an everyday watch. the 2 subdial speedmaster is amazing!
i got to try it out. its 44mm but it is not huge at all. even my 6.5 inch wrist can handle it.its flat and very comfortable. its dial is big and very legible. you can feel that its backed up with a great movement and high tech manufacturing.just want to express my admiration for these new omega watches.it was calling out to me but i still stuck with the planet ocean.

How many of you switch watch band yourself?
I am just curious how many people here switch your watch band yourself? and how often do you do it?Myself is eyeing on a strap for my new SMP 300m, just a bit hesitate to do so as I am afraid I will scratch the lug.And if you it yourself, where you get the tools from?Cheers,

The more I look into Patek pieces, the more I think that if one day I will get a buddy for my 5712-1A, the more I think it whould be a 5726 but with grey dial and bracelet not strap, of course there is a big price difference between bracelet and strap version, but I really love the bracelet for all Nautilus models.I know some don't like it very much, Ken for example but I personally love this model, the complications are very useful, the AC is a great one to have, love the moon phase, even if the use is very limited except if you are a werewolf, highly unlikely IMO, like the sweep seconds, the 24hrs is cool also.Since I can't upload pics, go figure why, here is the link to the 5726 page on the Patek site..patek/contents/defaul...26_1A_001.htmlDon't hesitate to post pics of your 5726's, whatever the version, and tell us what you like/dislike about thos model.Thanks guys

I might be a little late to the party, but it's been a while since I've visited the Rolex website. I just checked it out today and I saw a variety of Daytonas in precious metal that I hadn't seen in the past. I find the one below particularly stunning.
