Sophisticated Simplicity: Greubel Forsey Signature 1
Over its decade-plus in existence, Greubel Forsey has produced some highly complicated watches, nearly all of which have featured at least one tourbillon. For its new Signature 1 timepiece, introduced in January at SIHH 2016, the haute horlogerie brand founded by Robert Greubel and Stephen Forsey takes a different route. The Greubel Forsey Signature 1 is the first in the new Signature collection, which will feature the works of a single watchmaker, applying his or her own creative vision to a watch that still maintains all of the distinctive horological DNA of Greubel Forsey. Lm-Tec Combat B16 + Super Combat B2: Side by Side Review
The Combat B line of watches by Lm-Tec appeal to that macho side of our aesthetics; the side that looks at a mud covered truck or a stealth plane in flight and can't help but think "cool". They are tough, bold tanks-of-a-watch that beckon you to test their capabilities. Born from a history of military designs, they manage to do more than emulate the aesthetic; they live up to the name "Combat".?Yet, they are not dumb brutes, but rather refined watches that can be worn in or out of active circumstances. The Combat B16 and Super Combat B2 represent the current top-of-the-line for the series. The B16 is the mechanical 3-hand version of the standard Combat style and the Super Combat is a new larger titanium version with a hand wound movement. On the surface, they appear very similar, and they both appeal to the same aesthetic, but differences, both subtle and significant, make them very different watches. In this side-by-side review we take a look at the watches, comparing and contrasting
Size strap for a Seamaster
I'm considering putting my Seamaster on a bund strap. I don't really know what size the space between the lugs are so I can buy a perfectly pitted strap. Does anyone know?
I have dainty wrists, but want a Panerai
Title says it all. I can max wear 40mm, 41 is stretching it. I really want a Panerai, but not sure which model to go with. I was going to head to AD to take a look but they are all closed today.Any suggestions? Thanks.
