Locman Manages To Combine An Aviator Watch And A Dive Watch With the Marina Militare Automatic: Fashionable
Aren't you just a tad bit surprised that you haven't seem more watches like this before? People LOVE diver watches, they LOVE aviator watches: couldn't they just combine the two affections into one uber watch? Well Locman tried to do just that with the new Locman Marina Militare Automatic. There is also a chronograph version, but it is a quartz movement.Locman, being Italian of course had to give the watch an Italian name. But did they have to just take something right from Panerai? I know Marina Militare is just Italian for Navy, but most people don't know that. All I am saying is that people are gonna get a bit confused as to what this watch is all about. At least it doesn't look like a Panerai. Really, the only thing "Navy" about this watch is the emblem from a Italian Naval Academy in Livorno. Thank you Locman, because we all know your Italian "bling" watch designer heritage started in the Navy. Whatever, I happen to like emblems on stuff, especially when they don't apply to anythi
Bring a Loupe: Two Oversized Vacherons, One Very Slim Piaget, And One Promising Chronograph From Longines
This week's Bring A Loupe will feature an early Autavia chronograph from Heuer, and reveal another from Longines – a true eBay find in all its glory, horrendous pictures included. We will also look into watches with some very special dimensions, starting with the first ultra-thin Piaget with automatic movement, and then examining two incredible Vacheron Constantins, both with oversized cases in pink gold. This is your Bring A Loupe for November 6, 2015. An Early Heuer Autavia Reference 2446 Second Generation 1 OF 11 Two weeks ago we covered in depth an early Autavia that ultimately fetched $45,000 on eBay and today it kind of starts over. Well, this Autavia is not as rare, as it is the second execution of the reference 2446 with screw-back case. In comparison to the first execution that we had spotted earlier, the difference is minute, but for a Heuer aficionado it means a lot: the hands are not full lume anymore, you can see their frame here. Unfortunate
my new skyfall
So i just got my new AT skyfall on here from the forums. All new with all stickers attached. Took it in today to get it sized at Omega Boutique and when I brought it back home I noticed they also installed a nice line of scratch across the crystal (dial) in front. I am so sad that this watch was new and I know for fact that when i got it didn't have anything on it. I don't know what to do? I know the guys at the boutique and they are so nice to me. As a matter of fact i am buying an seamster 300 master coaxial from them tomorrow? how do i bring this up? what would you do? Sorry i couldn't take a picture of it sense its to hard to get in the photo but I believe the scratch is on the anti reflective i donno for sure though. when i run my nails across it it catches so i can't tell if it is the AR or not.I also post this on the omega forum. but I need some quick advice sense I am going back tomorrow.
Seamaster Banana Dial
Hello everyone,I would like to know if anyone has info regarding this version of the seamaster- the banana seamaster from the 60's. I haven't seen this come up in the forums and it seems to be highly collectible... Anyone have this is in their personal collection? Thanks
The game has really changed
My buddy bought the 1st Daytona C at this AD. He got the call on 12-24-16 and was out of town so I had to pick it up for him because the watch had to be bought in store and he could not give his credit card number over the phone. I asked today what it would take to buy a white dial 116500 and was told I would get preference if I bought another watch but it would not guarantee me a SS Daytona. He told me with a straight face times have changed and that’s what it would take to get a white dial 116500. I gave him the same straight face and told him get me a D Blue and White dial 116500 at the same time and we have a deal. I think Rolex is really missing the boat with the allocation issue with SS sport watches and alienating their customers. I feel like my money is no good with Rolex with the current condition. I really miss the days where you could walk into an AD and get the watch that you wanted without all the mandated stipulations. I’ve always liked the 116515 and was able
