Welcome watches-dealer, The New aBlogtoRead
You've probably noticed a few changes around here. Welcome to a redesigned and renamed aBlogtoReadwatches-dealer, which will from here on out be known as "watches-dealerwatches-dealer." I'd like to tell you a bit about some of the new features, and what we feel is a great new way to enjoy your favorite watch website.Five years ago in 2007 when I started aBlogtoReadwatches-dealer I didn't know that it was going to be an "all watch" website - which might explain the original name of the site. A few weeks after I started the blog it became clear to me that it was going to focus on watches, perhaps exclusively. For a while I toyed with the idea of changing the name, but it never happened. I even went so far as to register a few possible new domain names. One, that was an obvious choice (as even indicated by early readers and friends of the site) was "watches-dealer." I don't need to explain why the new name makes sense, and hope you welcome it.The reason for my long-standing hesitation in
Thoughts on this Combo?

Help me choose besteen an Ed White and a Red Sub
Hello friends,A watch nerd buddy asked me question the other day:If you had to decide between a Speedmaster Ed White or a Red Sub feet first mark 4 or mark 5 dial, which one would you choose?I selected Mr White... cause that's what I wear. But since then I've been wondering - if I owned a Red Sub mark 4 as well, the decision would be much more difficult. If push came to shove and I could only live with one watch maybe it would be the Red Sub. I don't know... which would you have if you had to choose?
Went into a Patek dealer today.
So on my lunch break today I walked into Westwood, CA. There is a small jewelery store, Morgan Jewelers in Westwood. I have walked by it probably a dozen times and always marvelled at the PP in the window. So today I pop in and take a look around. I start talking to the guy behind the counter, super nice guy, he new I was a young guy without enough cash to be serious but he was nice enough to show me some stuff and shoot the breeze. I thought that I would be totally dismissed due to my age, 25, but the guy working was really nice. Now on to the watches, WOW, I have always admired PP, however, when you're looking at a case of about 50 of them, it's pretty cool. Now I just need to start saving, guess it's a good think I work for a bank, might need to open a PP account.
Anyone looking forward to getting the BB58
I'm going to get the BB58 in around July when it comes it. From the reports I have seen, it wears very similar to the 14060 and has all the modern traits. What I like about it though is how it floats under the radar. While I enjoy the Sub, Daytona and BLNR (dad now has!) there is something really cool about having a watch that only enthusiasts really understand. Say with a client and all they stare at is the Sub or the Daytona it can be a tad uncomfortable so I am really looking forward to this one. My aim to to wear it on leather/strap etc and even though the Pepsi x2 have taken the limelight I am genuinely excited by this one. My concern is they bring it out the with red bezel, which I prefer, but I think I'll just have both if they do. I think the Sub is on its way out as I haves scratched that itch and feel modern and new is what in prefer in Rolex. R
