Wanted to take a little time to Thank Mike Piazza and the great years he had playing for my team the NY Mets and his enshrinement into the Baseball Hall Of Fame. What a great career ! Not to mention the absolute gem of a speech he made at his induction. Also loved the fact he had the new style Navy ROO on such a important day in his life. This is a model, in the AP line that is something of a love/hate model isn't it?Friends of mine seem to love it or hate it. I love the model, but since it is a model evoking strong emotions on both side of the +/- spectrum, I'm a bit afraid to take the plunge on one...Orange. It's a strong color no doubt. I've always liked the color orange, as do I like the color yellow. The brighter the better! Like on the FC Diver. Having a splash of color in you live is usually a good thing. Is the Volcano a slow seller? I'm getting a hint it may just be. And down the line if I regret it, it could be another expensive lesson! I guess some of my worries are ultimately down to, will I keep it.... Probably not forever, but I'm a bit afraid it may be a too in your face as something of a daily watch. My SS Diver with survivor black hornback croc strap
Well I finally had time to mount the black croc hornback strap with black stitching that I received when I bought my SS diver last month. . It certainly dresses up the diver, it allows it to be worn with a suit. What do you guys think?

Please forgive me for beginning this thread before owning the watch. Since seeing it in real life on Friday, it has become a must have. In my search for a precious metal watch - and believe me, I have explored all options - this Gondolo is now at the top of my list.Having long been an admirer of Patek Philippe, and having actually tried on a couple of models, I have never found one that really has enough versatility for my lifestyle. It would be an injustice to the brand for me to acquire a Patek Philippe mainly for the purpose of being able to say that I own one. Perhaps there will be others after I acquire this one, which should occur within the next few months.For some reason, I really want a rectangular shape for what may be my only precious metal watch.
