Watches NEWS
Introducing: The IWC Big Pilot's Heritage 55 And 48 Limited Editions
It has been widely rumored that 2016 will be the year of the pilot's watch at IWC, and it turns out the rumors were true. The full lineup's not going live just yet (though once the SIHH starts, of course, everything's going to be revealed). However, IWC has shared a couple of new limited editions of their Big Pilot's Watch. They're behemoths, in the Big Pilot's Watch tradition, but they're also faithful in many respects to the history of the navigator's watches from the 1940s on which they're based. Let's take a look. 1 OF 5 The IWC Big Pilot's Heritage Watch 55 reference IW510401. Let's start with the big boy. This is the Heritage Watch 55; it's a 55 mm watch, which according to IWC was the diameter of the original 52 caliber TSC (Tirette Seconde Centrale) made for the German Air Force in 1940. Exactly 1,000 of the original watches were made, according to the lot notes from Christie's that accompanied the sale
Another Horrible experience with AP S'pore service center
Dear All Gentlemen,I'm new here never post but keep reading until read the post from slowhand...unfortunately, same words from AP S'pore service center!!!My short story...I bought AP Chrono White from PMT Hour Glass in BKK Thailand and registered 3 yrs warranty on the AP's web since 2010. Then, send for free service mid of 2012. AP Bangkok said this model need to send to AP S'pore service and I agree. After few weeks, AP Bangkok call me and said AP S'pore report the watch had been tampered with and possibly opened up by a watchmaker plus some mark on screw back!!!!And the same as slowhand, if I need to get service, I've to pay!!! This story PMT Hour Glass Bangkok Thailand know well.Seriously, that time (Sep, 12), I'm so angry and sold all AP...Unfortunately, now I get back to buy AP again but from different AD and by word agreement with them (I told them the whole story), if need service, I won't go direct to AP service center again, I'll send to them, which is agree.Dear AP's managmen
My first AP & loving it
Got my first AP today, just in time for the new sub-forum :) I've been really intrigued by AP and all the AP enthusiasts in TRF definitely got me more interested in the brand and their watches.I wanted to add a chronograph to my small collection as I've never had a chrono before, and after seeing the panda ROC in the forums I knew that was the one, and once I saw it in person at an AD I knew there was no turning back...and that it's a matter of time before I own one.And today I finally own my very own AP ROC - my first AP and actually my first white dial watch. I won't go into much details about this watch since it's familar to many of you, but I will say that this watch is a great size for my wrist, love the thickness of the watch (I like that it's slightly thicker than the 15300), and although it doesn't have a display back, I think the ROC has one of the nicest solid casebacks around. And I can look at the bracelet all day.Very excited and just thought I'd share a few photos with
Trade a Rose Gold Panerai 497....I have problem. Trade?
My name is Pierson and I have a problem.... I'm ADD and even when i get my dream watch I keep looking at others. I've got a feeling that I should be in good company here. So, I own an awesome 10 Day Radiomir, the PAM 497. One of 250 made, rose gold, yada yada yada....and have been eying a swap for the Rolex Daytona Meteorite, gold, strap version. Should I? Basically a straight up trade. If it was the bracelet version i'd do it in a heartbeat. I do have a thing for space/nasa stuff. I'd kill to own a Omega Snoopy if anyone has one lying around ;)
Stay away from diamond
It happened last saturday, my watch vs my wife's diamond bracelet. It is obvious that the diamond prevail. I will contact RSC to get the new crystal.
