Damasko DA44 Review
Usually, when we talk about what sets a certain brand apart it's an interesting aesthetic design feature, or better than average finishing for the price. Occasionally, but less often, it pertains to something unique with the movement, like an in-house complication or extended power reserve. Well, what sets Damasko apart is something entirely different, the very materials from which they are made and the engineering behind them.Located in Regensburg, Germany, Damasko has been going about watch making differently since 1994. Rather than just making quality watches, which is more than enough in most cases, they wanted to set all new standards. So, they've re-designed and engineered everything, owning dozens of patents for materials and mechanisms. These include the very steel from which the watches are made to their own silicon hairsprings, all of which they make themselves. In 2010 they also became a genuine manufacture with two in house movements, the A 35-1 and the H 35, both of which
Its Here! New Audemars 15400
So my new 15400 I serial is finally here after a long and painful weekend. Its even more beautiful than I ever would have thought. Here are a few quick pics from my phone. Also I have a quick question about the clasp. In all the pictures I have seen, the clasp has an AP logo above the words Audemars Piguet but this one doesnt have that logo. Have they changed the design of the clasp? uploadfromtaptalk1384804500465.jpguploadfromtaptalk1384804508589.jpguploadfromtaptalk1384804518653.jpguploadfromtaptalk1384804528610.jpguploadfromtaptalk1384804535960.jpguploadfromtaptalk1384804545271.jpguploadfromtaptalk1384804552202.jpgSent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk 2
Planet Ocean Chronograph Info Needed
I need to fund a new Rolex and promised the wife I would pay back the cash she must loan me so the Omega is dust. So a few questions please.1. The watch has been sent in for service since one complication was acting funky. Does Omega polish the watch so it looks new?2. I am the original owner, no papers have my name, the watch is in outstanding condition with box, papers, receipt, etc. What Can I Expect To Get Roughly? Ebay does not help. 3. How long till I can expect to get the watch back?
Patek buckle or not?
Hi,My 2593 is on a Patek signed leather strap. I am investigating if the buckle is aftermarket or if it is the correct Patek buckle. It is not signed anywhere which naturally would indicate that it is aftermarket. I have seen similar buckles on the bay that the sellers claim to be authentic. I am dubious though. Can anybody shed some light on this? Thanks!
Did Rolex make RED dials?
Hello, first post here! Can you experts please tell me if Rolex ever produced a factory red dialed variation of the Datejust.... or any other watch?I have searched and searched and it seems that 95% of Red Dialed Datejust's are clearly custom, aftermarket, painted, etc. Then there is the matter of the Vignette version which confuses me because Rolex most certainly made a Red Vignette... for Ladies Datejust. But for the Men's vignette's it seems a lot of those are custom still, perhaps with only a few authentic's in there but I really can't tell!I thought there was a red 41mm version but the more I looked it seems like those are all fake dials too.Does anybody know for sure if there is a REAL red dialed Rolex? The reason I ask is because my very first watch as a boy had a red dial and I would love to pay homage to it with a Rolex.I sincerely thank anyone for their input.
