Carl F. Bucherer Patravi TravelTec II Marks 10 Years of the TravelTec Family
Time flies especially when you’re watching three time zones at once, apparently. It’s been 10 years since Carl F. Bucherer introduced its first TravelTec watch, equipped with both a chronograph and triple-time-zone display. At Baselworld 2015, the brand commemorated the occasion with the launch of the bigger, bolder Patravi TravelTec II.Two main aspects distinguish the Carl F. Bucherer Patravi TravelTec II from its predecessors, the original TravelTec and the skeleton-dialed TravelTec FourX. One is the case size: CFB has made the case larger (47.7 mm in diameter compared to the original’s 46.6 mm) and slightly thicker (15.9 mm, up from 15.5 mm) a somewhat bold and contrarian design choice for this era in which so many watch brands are opting to go thinner and more understated in their next-generation line extensions. The other major change is on the bezel, which now serves as the hour indicator for a third time zone; previous TravelTec models kept the bezel clean

Last week we introduced you to the new mega-diver from the Brothers Bremont - the Supermarine 2000.? As the name suggests, this new 45mm diver is good to a whopping 2000 meters, meaning this bad boy is about as mean a diver as you could ask for.? We had one pass through the HODINKEE offices just this weekend so we thought we'd snap a few photos for you.? Enjoy. You can read more about the new S2000 right here. 2 OF 9 3 OF 9 4 OF 9 5 OF 9 6 OF 9 7 OF 9 8 OF 9 See the new Bremont S2000 in NYC next week.? 9 OF 9

Does Anyone Wear/Use a Leather Bund Strap?
I read somewhere that Paul Newman wore a bund with his Daytona. These watchstraps were originally designed for German fighter pilots during WW2. I've seen Alton Brown on 'Good Eats' wearing one but in general, they aren't all that common. The design is wide around the watch and narrows down to ordinary watch strap width towards the buckle. Like NATOs, the bund seems to look better with sport watches rather than the more dressier models.Curious if anyone has here wears these as an alternative strap/fashion statement.
Daytona Availability
Hey I'm sorry if this is a silly question as I've been off of this forum for a while but how bad is availability for the new Daytona? I spoke to my AD and he said it's worse than ever and I'm afraid that since I've been buying Patek from a different AD that I'm not going to have a shot at one for a long time. Thanks for your help.
