Kobold Polar Surveyor Duo On eBay Ending Nov-28-07 17:05:41 PST: Two Gold Watches To Lust After
You don't often see watches like this in pairs, but up on eBay for sale are a couple of 18k gold Kobold Polar Surveyor watches. One is all gold with the lovely metallic blue Kobold face, and other other is gold with a alligator strap and a black face. The bands are obviously interchangeable. Kobold watches are rare in the watch world for being an American company. Based out of Philadelphia, they use mostly swiss components are designed to be very rugged and functional. Knowing their upmarket appeal, Kobold does offer some of its pieces in gold as these two are.A Kobold watch is meant to be fully functional and reliable and deep depths, and very cold temperatures. Their base Valjoux 7750 movements have been modified to include a AM/PM indication. The reason for this is that when you are exploring the arctic poles, the day and nights can be very long (months on end). When this occurs, you do not have the luxury of the day/night phase to know what time it is. Thus the AM/PM indicator prov
luxurious Chopard Happy Sport Chrono Watch
Rounded in the bracelet links were made more angular, while deeply grooved rotating bezel is a reminder of how hard shows this woman can be perforated. It is a pretty bad-ass watch for something with the word "Happy" in the title. While the price will be $ 5,000, this Chopard Happy Sport Chronograph Watch is features a quartz Switzerland movement and be of stainless steel (a little expensive if you ask me).
Diamonds literally move freely even if they are placed in a metal frame a middle between two Sapphire plane. The dial with chronograph subdials is below.Something about the fact that Chopard chose to place this type of surveillance against a pink background cocktail me.
Royal Oak bezel observation...
Dears I love AP to death, it's one of my favorite brands and I have owned a total of 4 APs in the last 3 years with only one remain, the 15400 in silver which I bought brand new from an AD last August.I had 15300s and a Diver before and I loved everything about them. My most favorite feature of any AP is the superb finishing done especially on the legendary bezel. However, I noticed that finishing on bezel can sometimes vary in terms of how hard it's vertically beveled, if that makes sense. Meaning, I have handled many I-series 15400s just like mine and some had very obvious vertical finishing on the bezel while others seemed not so much beveled. I think mine is a bit of the soft side vs the other one (image by watchcollectinglifestyle) I am just wondering if anybody else noticed this? And if it's a QC issue...?Would love to hear your thoughts on this.
RO question
hi all, I would like to understand something that I have seen many times and that I cannot explain to myself, this watch seems to be in good condition, according to them never polished, but on the third pic on the bottom of the case especially on the side where the number is the metal seems completely worn out, how the hell is that possible, we're talking about a part of the watch which when is worn can't have any contact dings, scratches or bumps, how in the hell can it get so worn out? I've had a few watches for many years, even one or 2 for around 20 years, well on that part they are fine, but on the outer part they have their fair share of scratches, the exact contrary to this one and I've seen it in many occasions and never could get how that's possible, anyone care to explain would be welcomed. Thanks guys https://.chrono24/en/audemars...-id3748687.htm
4 weeks with Diver as only watch (sort of)
I just spent four wonderful weeks on a road trip around Italy (Tuscany and Umbria mostly). After much consideration I decided on having my SS Diver accompany me (with my Exp II as reserve back-up).Wearing the Diver all day every day for 4 weeks was a joy. I became more relaxed about the piece than ever before....not quite treating it as a beater, but simply enjoying it and not worrying about any wear-and-tear. I found it to be more adaptable to different situations than I had ever imagined, and as comfortable as one could wish for.If there's anyone out there who's worried about having the Diver as an only watch....don't be! I love mine more than ever.
