Asking on behalf of a friend, he say his father bought it in the 60s. Can some omega fans here help to answer some question? I only know when i pull out the crown it can't hack the movement and should be a after market bracelet.1. What kind of gold is that?2. Is it expensive to service the watch and hard to find parts?3. Cellini Pricing - what's fair?
Happy New Year, everyone! So, I'm particularly fond of the rose gold, black lacquer Cellini - ref 50505 - but of course cannot stomach paying MSRP for it, which is around 15,000 USD. I've looked and looked and what I find online is somewhat bizarre. Essentially, everyone offering the piece for sale, be it gray market or pre-owned, wants something in the 9000-12000 USD range, but almost all the watch pricing aggregator sites swear that it's value is closer to 4000-8000 tops (NIB). I am having a hell of a time trying to figure out what's fair to offer to sellers...thoughts on this one?
