High Quality Spy Gadget "Q" Watches From Veldini To Arrive Soon; Three Versions For The Spy In All Of Us
No one who likes watches doesn't like cool gadgets. Gadgets are little morsels of functional goodness. Items designed specifically for the purpose of doing one or more things (aside from sitting there). Gadgets can be tools, but can also be so much more. So if you don't like cool gadgets, then stop reading. But if you do, then this new line of products from Canadian Veldini will certainly evoke an audible "cool" from you.Do you remember playing with spy toys as a kid? Those plastic things that you wished came in professional quality? Well I remember, and I think most of the real stuff was reserved for the CIA, and alike agencies. And now, when I am (publicly) too old to play with toys, comes Veldini with its Q watches. Three models are due for release, the Q; Outdoor, Spy, and Everyday. Further the watches will come in three materials, sterling Silver, yellow gold, and rose gold. Prices depend on the material used and will range from $2,000 to $15,000 dollars. So lets talk about what th
Patek 5167 or 15202
Looking for people thoughts here as I;m going to pull the trigger on one of these shortly. My usual daily driver currently is a BLNR. I can get the aqua now at a bit of a discount while I can get a 15202 in the next month at full price from a boutique. I know I'll get both eventually but can only get ONE for now. Love both probably equally however I have a desk job and my BLNR bracelet has been well loved aka pretty scratched. Not sure how the 15202 will hold up there. The Patek will be more under the radar and hold up better under desk scratches but the 150202 is more aesthically appealing to me I think, however, more attention grabbing. I've also listed this in the patek forum since I'm sure I'll get biased views in eaach
AP repair process
Hi guys...I wanted to share my experience with getting my ROO repairedI purchased my new ROO about 9 months ago. It stopped keeping time well, so I took it to my local AD. They said they needed to send it to AP. Long story short, they said that I had compression damage to the watch that voided the warranty so it would cost me 2k to fix it. I said fine (not happy but what can I do)...I took the watch in on 5/30/13. I called today to see when it would be ready (i was first told beg of august, then end of aug) and they told me now that it would be ready in mid-september!!!!!!!!Over 3 months to fix a watch????!!!!!! Does this sound right or am I just getting screwed over?
Swatch v Tiffany
Thought this may be of interest to other Omega fans:BBC TEXT service stating that Swatch and Tiffany are suing each other following the collapse of their production deal.States that in 2007 Swatch agreed to produce watches under the Tiffany brand and that they would share the profits, however, last year Swatch ended the deal accusing Tiffany of blocking the development of buisiness. Sit down before reading the sums of money involved........Swatch is suing for 2.6bn. Tiffany has launched a counter claim. That's a lot of Planet Oceans!
Radiomir at its purest?
Guys,I'm a minimalist, and a big fan of simplicity and functionality.Although Rolex are highly utilitarian tool watches, I still find that buying a Radiomir was a huge step towards a simpler more pure look... and more so because the Radiomir has changed a lot less than Rolex watches have, since the original design. With that said, I'm aware that the PAM183 — and in particular the Black Seal phrase —?isn't the most original thing about a Radiomir. I also know that a 12-3-6-9 dial without small seconds (correct me if I'm wrong) is more desirable when looking for a true original. On a quest for the purest, most original, most utilitarian Radiomir... I ask you to pick one:1. 12-3-6-9 dial with small seconds.2. 12-3-6-9 dial without small seconds.3. SLC dial.4. California dial.5. Other (comment)
