Watch Insider: Herms Unveils its First Tourbillon Watch
Up until very recently, Herms was known more as a fashion brand than as a purveyor of haute horlogerie. However, its watchmaking subsidiary, La Montre Herms, has been challenging those assumptions as of late with many of its new watches and proprietary movements, and has now released its first tourbillon watch, called the Arceau Lift.In this article from my blog, Watch-Insider, I give you the details on this significant new timepiece and show you some photos I took at the watch’s unveiling at the Herms boutique in Paris.Herms is not a newcomer to watchmaking; one can find Herms-branded timepieces dating back as far as the 1930s. Flipping my Patek..speak now or forever hold your peace
My Calatrava 5196R has been in the safe for about 355 days over the past year. I work in a very casual office & don't have much occasion to wear rose gold. I'm tempted to flip it for a Lange 1815 in white gold, that I know I'll wear several times a week & which also can do double duty as a dress watch.Does anyone care to argue for keeping the Patek?
5147g
Anyone got a 5147G? If so, what do you think of it? How blue is that blue enamel face? Is it dark blue or almost black (it looks almost black on the Patek web site)?Do you wear it daily or mostly as a dress watch for the evening?
