Initials on RO bracelet
Hello all,It's been a while since I've posted but I finally acquired an AP 15400.Love it!Btw, I noticed initials on the inside of the bracelet. I'm thinking they were from the previous owner. I like to think they are from the watchmaker that spent countless hours handcrafting my beauty. See pic. It kinda gives it a personalized, made-with-love & TLC feeling I don't get from Rolex. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!Cheers!
Pricing a used SuperOcean Steelfish X Plus help needed!
I bought a SuperOcean Steelfish X Plus and it came with the Prof 1 series bracelet on it 6 years ago. It is way to big for my wrist IMO. Great watch but just don't want it anymore as I went back to a Sub.My question is after looking they have been discontinued and a quick check of Ebay shows bids from $1200 to over 2K on them so I need to know what I should price mine at?I have all the boxes, paperwork, and links that were took off to fit my wrist.I bought the watch NIB from Authentic Watches. It has a dated and stamped warranty card however I now know this is considered a grey market watch and there will be no serial numbers that go with it. How much will that effect the value?Any help would be welcome. Thanks,James
3738 Golden Ellipse fans?
Just wondering...how many Golden Ellipse fans do we have here at TRF? I've been smitten by the 3738r for many years now, but they seem to be rare both in the shops as well as within the internet community...at the Tiffany shop, the AD reported very low demand for this model.Thoughts?
International insurance as an expat question
Hi everyone,First post here, though I've been lurking since I've been on a waiting list for a BLNR. Hoping some more experienced members can steer me in the right direction. Here's the situation. I'm an expat in Shenzhen, China and I've been on waiting lists at 3 AD's in Hong Kong since April. My job has me traveling around Asia Pacific quite often, but the BLNR is such a hot item in Asia that they are nowhere to be found. I'll be in North and Central America on business starting tomorrow and will be going through the Newark airport, Houston airport, spending some time in San Jose, Costa Rica and a little less time in San Francisco. Hoping to find the BLNR at one of those locations. In case I do, I want to have some info on buying insurance for a Rolex as an expat. I rent my apartment here in Shenzhen, so homeowners insurance with a rider for the watch is not an option (have been an expat out here for about 9 years and I don't own any property back in the US). I'd like to look at a
