15400st and 15202st in same collection? Thoughts please
Hi guys, I'm closing in on a 15202st Jumbo 40th anniversary. The issue (if it even is one) is that I have a 15400st white/silver dial in my collection already. The question - Do you guys think that the both of them can subsist in a collection seeing that they are aesthetically similar? I know it's a subjective question but it would be nice to hear your thoughts nonetheless. Thanks!
Scratches on my bezel!!!
Hey guys. My 16 week old puppy bite my PO. I guess she has great taste in watches, lol. Anyways, my bezel is lightly scratched up. Is there any way to buff it out or will I have to replace it? Where could I buy one, and how much would it cost? Should I send to it OMEGA? Any information will be appreciated. Thanks guys.
My Dream for Basel
I'm sure that Omega hasn't even thought about this once, considering the rumors about discontinuing the SMP's etc, but I think that this watch would be a classic:I would love to see the 2254.50 come back with an updated movement. And possibly a smaller 12 o'clock marker. None of the basics designs should be changed, but it SHOULD be updated a little, EX. making the waves on the dial go over the ENTIRE dial and not just end at the minute markers and other minor upgrades to modernize the watch. If they fixed that, and popped in an 8500 I'd buy it in a heartbeat. I would probably trade my 14060M sub for it actually.
Problem with a pre-owned DJ 16220 I bought.
Hello,I originally posted this in the vintage section, but since technically a 16220 is not vintage, and also to reach a broader audience, I'm reposting here. I have a problem and I would like to know what you guys would suggest I do.I bought a 1999 DJ from a seemingly reputable dealer in Germany (I'm in The Netherlands). The watch comes with a service box and all papers and it is in excellent, hardly worn, unpolished condition. But it arrived dead. No shaking or manual winding starts it. Even after many turns of manual winding the feel does not get any stiffer, so my initial guess is a broken mainspring.I talked to the seller and he claims that he checked it and it worked perfectly when he sent it, and gives me three options:1) Clearly, I can send it back for a refund.2) Send back to him for repair and he will send it back to me in working condition. He covers the costs of shipping both ways. But it is clear that he will just replace the mainspring if that is the reason for the fault. I
Interested in adding a Black dial piece
Hey all,Been off for a while but the itch for novelty is back.My collection is listed in my sig, a blue, green, and white dial. I love it.I do have an itch for a black dial watch though. Any thoughts?Open to rolex/ap suggestions. Partial to anything on rubber strap, but dont mind bracelets. May trade my 116613 for this purchase.
