Strap combinations for (New) AP Safari
Hi all,I'm contemplating picking up my very first Audemars Piguet and i'm quite set on getting an AP Safari. The only concern I have is that it may not be suitable to be changed up for more formal situations. (Or casual for that matter)I was wondering if anyone here had any other strap combinations for the New 2014 AP Safari other than the OEM Brown Hornback.Brown Rubber? Black Rubber? Black (or other colours) leather perhaps?Would really appreciate the help and it will aid in my decision for this beautiful watch
New Old Stock-Advice
Hey All,I need some advice on what to offer(trying not to pay full retail) on a NOS Omega Seamaster-300M-wavy dial-.....co-axil.Let me set the story:Yesterday my wife and I went shopping and we went into a jewelry store just to look. My wife bought me a new Rolex GMT-II Black and Blue, so I wasn't in any hurry for another watch....yet.I came across the store's Omega display and in the 300-M/Diver section of their Omega display they had the newer Diver's in one area and three NOS Omega 300-M in the lower section.1. A women's quartz blue-wavy dial...I didn't ask about it.2. A Men's 300-M (I think black dial) wavy dial chronograph...(co-axil?) $4900 for the chronograph3. A men's 300-M black wavy dial, co-axil...(the lady told me co-axil but not master co-axil).........$3900.All brand new. As a matter of fact I know these three watches have been setting there since June-2014. June-2014, was the last time I was in that particular store and they were in there then.I know Omega qui
First Grand Complication! Ref. 5140P
Much has been written on TRF and other forums about this reference. Among things I've seen discussed have been the following:It's too big. It's too small. The dial is too busy. It's too hard to read. The 27 and 5 on the date subdial has a different font. Not much love for the blue dialEtc.Well, as a proud second owner of this gorgeous 5140P, allow me to share my thoughts by responding to each of the above niggles point by point. At 38mm, I find the case size perfect. Maybe it's not for everybody's wrist, but for mine, it's perfect! The dial is extremely readable, which says a lot because my eyesight is terrible. Its readability is especially amazing when you consider how much info this perpetual calendar packs into such a compact space. The sleek profile of the 240 Q really makes the watch. I love the calibre.Regarding the fonts. The different size numbers that Patek uses to make the dates easy-to-see while at the same time making room for 3 and 9 o'clock subdials is purposeful, it
Jubilee bracelet question
I want to get a jubilee for my BLNR. 2 questions. Are they hard to come by and will it fit my Pepsi as well? I see posts about a super jubilee but don't know the difference in the bracelets. Does anyone have it on their BLNR? How do you like it?? Post some pics if you can. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
