AP Newbie Royal Oak Assistance please?
Hello to you all,Could I ask for some advice please?I am very new to the AP watch world and am not as yet an owner.A few questions follow that I am having difficulty in obtaining answers. I have written to AD's / Boutiques but no repsonse (seems to be the norm from what i have read?)The models in question.Royal OakRef # 15400ST. 00. 120ST.03 Stainless steel, Blue dial, 41mm.Ref # 15202ST. 00. 1240ST.01 'Jumbo' or extra thinStainless steel, Blue dial, 39mm.What would be the approx. wait / order time? (US or UK)Current approx list prices? (with or without tax US or UK)When you purchase an AP what 'papers' do you receive from the AD? Is it the same principle as say Rolex, i.e. named AD, serial number etc? With the Royal Oak I notice a serial number on the case which starts with a letter - often i see another number ...others i don't? New (to me) Seamaster Chrono 2598.80 silver bezel. First Omega!
Since I'm currently tasked with the web design for the new Omega Forums, I figured it was only fitting I started my Omega collection ASAP.The value provided by second-hand Omega pieces seems fantastic. The build quality is so tough and they're well engineered. Even older Omega bracelets and clasps seem to out-do Rolex and other brands in many ways. It's built like a tank, and weighs approximately 210 grams. What really sold me on the SMP chrono was TRF member dsio informing me the pushers were usable to the full depth rating. I'd previously never heard of a chrono with this feature. I can actually make use of this for free-diving, training, etc. A very useful complication. A 2598.80 silver-bezel (purchased in '98) popped up for a great price, so I jumped on it. The cost was easily low enough to be approved by my CFO ;)One of the previous owners was clever enough to attempt to remove the bezel with a bread knife (crowbar?) or similar, so it has a very slight wobble to it. I've ordered a
