Sad day :(
When cleaning my watch case, and bracelet... I found a tiny ding on the side of the case... so tiny that I didn't notice that it was there prior to cleaning... just what to lament, sometimes it happens without even knowing where it came from...
A pair of "oldies but goodies"
My 18k RG bumper automatic and 18k YG Rolex bubbleback automatic:Both date from ~1950.I've had the Omega for several years and refer to it as my special occasion watch. The Rolex was acquired a couple of weeks ago out of the estate of this gentleman:C. Thomas ClagettThe Rolex came on a 14k YG mesh as shown here:As you may recall, the Omega also came on a 14k mesh. That bracelet is known as a rainbow mesh as it is comprised of RG, WG, and YG:The Rolex will soon be going off for some polishing and service but I wanted a photo of the two together before that happens.Fr. The thread is to show a few pictures. The divisiveness of the watch adds to its appeal.

I absolutely love that watch, it's great, one of the best daily watches imaginable. But I couldn't quite shake the bug for a 16710BLRO either, even back when I was buying the 14060M. So last week I came across a good deal on the 16710 and pulled the trigger. After wearing the watch for a week, I absolutely love it. It's so comfortable on the wrist and the Pepsi bezel is just great to look at. It's everything I thought it would be, and I can see why it gets such high praise on this forum. But I still truly love the 14060M too, and am having trouble picking just one watch. As far as functionality goes, I really don't use the functionality of either. I won't ever go diving in the 14060M, rarely ever travel so I won't use the GMT complication on the 16710, and don't have a strong feeling either way on the date. It almost p
