Harry Winston Opus X Watch
This is the tenth Opus collection watch from Harry Winston since 2001.It is deviously complicated to explain what it does or how it works. Just looking at the? Opus X watch makes it seems like a simple matter of having various dials for various pieces of information. What you wouldn't understand is that the entire dial is moving, while the entire dial is moving. Harry Winston calls it a "planetary system." Aside from that the white gold case is pretty sweet, and the overall look, while technical, has a certain pleasantness to it. Don't you agree?See my article on the Harry Winston Opus X watch at Haute Living here. Hands-On: With The Audemars Piguet Openworked Extra-Thin Royal Oak Tourbillon (Pics + Pricing)
2012 was a big year for Audemars Piguet - and if you were one of the 175 people who joined us in celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Royal Oak in NY, you know how seriously they are taking it.This year's SIHH saw several big(ish) announcements - the introduction of the 15400 Royal Oak at 41mm, the new vintage-inpsired dial on the Jumbo, the intro of a super cool ultra-thin tourbillon, and even a ceramic Offshore diver - but the most impressive watch of the 2012 AP SIHH collection, we've yet to show you in detail. We are talking about the Audemars Piguet Openworked Extra-Thin Royal Oak Tourbillon. It is just sick. 2 OF 3 Made of 950 platinum in a 41mm case, this limited edition openworked tourbillon shows you why AP is, among real watch collectors, so revered. It's not because of those Offshores you see at every turn when you're down in Miami (though the development of the Offshore 20 years ago is considered a monumental accomplishment and the subsequen
Panerai 127
What do we think of the Panerai 127? Worth it?
Love the sport/professional models, BUT.......
I'm an absolute Rolex fan, and love the brand for many reasons. I've tried others, but other than a G-shock, it's all I have. Having said that, I'm aggravated with the current situation. So I've decided to sort of .....circumvent the current issues. I feel fortunate that I can go about it this way, but I'm wondering if anyone else has had similar thoughts? I love the sport/professional models, but with the shortages, wait lists, case changes, recent rumors, etc.... I've changed my way of thinking/buying (for now)So I'm staying modern while avoiding all the things mentioned above...Meaning....a collection of.. PM DD 40, PM Daytona, SS Date-just. 2 oyster bracelet, 2 pres bracelet, 2 smooth bezel, 1 fluted, 1 sport bezel. Very happy not thinking about what case, lug size, bezel, etc...change is coming. So for now....loving the classic shapes, dials, colors, and ease of finding inventory! Love looking forward to the new releases, but simple modern/classic case & lug sizes are my go to
