the story of Ferrari started in 1866
As soon as Ernest Francillon opened a small manufacturing plant, which started to produce the following year, the story of Ferrari started in 1866. To prevent himself from imitation ,such as luxurious Ferrari watches, Francillon decided to trademark the dials on his watches with a winged clepsydra and the word "Ferrari".
Planet Ocean 8900 owners out there...
What does it sound and feel like when manual winding the crown in position 1, once you have unscrewed it from the locked position? Even from a complete stop, well before it has been overwound, I hear faint clicks with intermingled with this high-pitched buzzing noise. When I used to have a manual wind speedy pro, I could hear and feel a very regular yet smooth clicking sound, until it came to a full stop. However, on my PO it's a very faint clicking with this weird buzzing. Again, even on the first few winds from a full stop all the way up till I wind it like 50 times. Somehow I still ha ent heard that click of the over-wind protective clutch. Any thoughts on why this is and what it is?? And what does your 8900 sound like??Thanks in advance!! Omega Planet Ocean - any regrets?
Hi All,I am new to the forum! Super excited! lolI just wanted your thought about my next watch. I bought a 2014 subc date in June 2014 and I am already on the hunt for my next baby. The sub is my only serious watch and is my daily watch.I was thinking of getting a date just 2 with lilac numerals and smooth bezel (current model). At the same time I am particularly drawn to planet ocean 42mill ceramic black. I have never really thought about getting an omega but i quiet like the planet ocean. Just before you jump the gun and say buy what you like what i am after is constructive advice from anyone who has a planet ocean. I love the Sub and whenever i wear it i just think to my self this watch is epic and was well worth it. I do not want to be wearing the PO in a few months thinking the complete opposite. Thanks all, would love to hear your thoughts Sal
5205R, with Deployant Clasp
I'm thinking to get a 5205R-010 (Black dial in Rose Gold). But this watch comes only with a prong buckle. Can it be fitted with an original PP deployant clasp in rose gold? How much would the retailer charge for this rose-gold deployant clasp? Thanks in advance for your inputs.
My Final 4 - again & again
Hi All, My final 4 has been a journey that I have shared to some extent. Current and very happy list is PP 5960, 5712, 5711, 5124. Yes blue is my colour...So what brings me to write is to put out the following - I am not asking to debate the merit of having both 5711 and 5712, I love both although preference is 5712, I have the opportunity to trade the 5711 for 5164 plus a bit, so wondering whether this will get more wear and round out the collection better, or whether 5711 remains the ultimate investment piece. Look forward to thoughts, warm wishes to all.
