JC/DC Gummy Me Watch
Fashion designer JC/DC (Jean-Charles de Castelbajac) once again works with Hong Kong based watch maker O.D.M (ODM) in this interesting and whimsical watch called the "Gummy Me." Done in silicone, the watch in its entirety looks like a sort of rabbit-like creature. The eyes are two small LCD screens that tell the time (hours for one eye, minutes in the other). Coming in four colors it is strange, it is fun, and it is probably not destined to find a home on most people's wrists - but some will love it.JC/DC refers to the design as an alien rabbit - something that should be experimented on. The package itself is shaped a bit like a specimen sample. They are playing on the whimsy of the character. To me the Gummy Me rabbit looks like a cross between Bugs Bunny and that Life in Hell rabbit that Matt Groening created. The last JC/DC watch I wrote about was a Lego model that I wrote about here. This man loves toys. So why doesn't he design kids clothes? While the Gummy Me watch is totally stra
My New Omega Dress Watch
I have been wanting to get a leather strap dress watch instead of wearing my Yacht-Master all the time. After much thought and comparision here's what I got. I do like it! I think Omega makes a fine dress watch and it has a great movement in it. Do you like it?
5712 love
Well the title says it all, after having it for 3 months, having been 1 month on vacation without it, I realize every day how awesome this watch is, my personal opinion of course but I must say I really love it, love the complications of moon phase and power reserve, love the bracelet, the movement with mini rotor. As some of you might remember about 5-6 months ago I knew about Patek but didn't really know why they were so expensive, and many of you answered me saying the quality, finition of the pieces were made to perfection, and I am glad I started to have interest towards PP, because yes the pieces are amazing. There is a big chance that I will only have 1 Patek, maybe at the maximum 2, probably the 5167 one day, but if only 1 I am glad to have the 5712, Patek with a funky dial display and a great grey/blue dial.So thanks to those who opened my eyes to the Patek world, like Morpheus tells Neo in the Matrix: welcome to the real world, I guess when you come into Patek and a few other w

How difficult is it to get a lady Datejust in Sydney?
I've done a search but I haven't found any relevant information. I want to get a 28mm TT Datejust, possibly with diamonds on the dial. I want to buy new as I'm planning to have this one and only watch for many years to come. It's difficult for me to get to the CBD but I do live in Sydney. I have been planning on making a day trip to the few ADs in Sydney, but I thought I should get some advice on what to expect with regards to stock levels before getting my hopes up. Additionally, I have family in Hong Kong, and my parents will be going there later this month. As far as I know the prices aren't so different especially with our exchange rate- but if it's way easier to get what I want over there I'm tempted to just ask my parents look into it for me (obviously I would prefer to physically buy it myself but I should take this opportunity if it's really difficult to get what I want here). Thanks!
