Longines Column Wheel Chronograph Watch's Day At The Races
It surprised me to learn that Longines has close to 100 years of history with horse racing. In fact, Longines has a lot of history altogether. Like many historic watch brands still alive today, Longines spent much of its life as a watch movement maker run by engineers. This is an interesting point because, according to long-standing Longines CEO Walter von Kanel (who has been at the brand for over 40 years), a major difference between watch brands of today and those of yesterday is who ran the show.He reminds us that watch brands used to revolve around new movements. The engineers would develop a new movement and then design a watch around it. Today, watch brands are more business/marketing minded and design watches around concepts, market needs, etcIn essence, the reverse of what they used to do. Hey guys, I've been looking at the De Ville Chronoscope GMT lately and it's such a beautiful watch.I'm very interested in the watch, but it's very hard to find information about it though, like reviews or better photos.I was wondering if anyone here owns one and/or can post some high resolution photos of it, or a link to a detailed review.Thanks!

Amazing Accuracy for my Patek Philippe Collection
There is a lot of talk about the accuracy of these watches more so in the Rolex section. CSOC specs +6 to -4 seconds per day. I was told(sales) that since the PP are hand made to a very high standard that their accuracy is higher than most. On my 5980's, I run the chrono starting at noon and check with time.is over several days and weeks and both of my 5980's are within 2-3 seconds of correct time over a month. Amazing to me and quite impressive! Any others have similar results?
