Watches NEWS
Thanks, Wolfgang. Welcome, Dominik.
What do Robert Morris, John Witherspoon, and Wolfgang Blum have in common? They belong to the fraternity of lesser-known founding fathers. WatchTime readers surely know the names Joe Thompson, Norma Buchanan and Mark Bernardo C our Washington, Jefferson and Franklin. A few trivia nuts may even know who Howard Fine is. But as your eyes move down the masthead, toward the bottom, you'll find the name of the man who made it all possible C Wolfgang Blum. Blum is WatchTime‘s founding father, and this week, he formally steps down to return to his native Germany, his work complete. As Joe Thompson writes in the tribute that appears in the December issue (on newsstands soon), Blum is the person WatchTimes parent company Ebner Verlag tapped to launch the magazine in 1999. Blum hired the team, set the tone, and oversaw the creation of the WatchTime you know today C the magazine, website, live events, iPad and iPhone apps, special issues, Buyer's Guide and more, are all products of Blum's v
Royal Oak Full Bracelet?
The RO bracelet is a piece of a jewelry in itself. I wonder if they will ever make it just as a wearable bracelet with the same exact metal design and light reflection, that would be sweet.

2004 Green Rolex Sub
While browsing through the inventory of a online watch store, and I noticed a Rolex Sub (green bezel) for sale. The watch is a complete set with every single thing that came with the watch the day it was bought at a AD in Washington State. The watch looks to be unworn and is beautiful. The asking price is 23,950 bucks. Am I missing something? What makes this watch worth 23,950? I also saw a unpolished GMT 2 pepsi .... complete set, and it was listed at 19,000. Again, I'm probably missing something, so can someone please help me to understand why these watches are so expensive?
