Breguet High Jewelry Minute Repeater
In 2008, Breguet introduced a new way of designing minute repeaters, fitting them with re-engineered movements incorporating new materials and featuring innovative positions for the gongs, gong rests and hammers. This patented technique is now available in Breguet minute repeater ref. 7639. The 44.5 mm case houses a minute repeater movement, but some might say the real treasure is on the outside. The 18K white gold case is set with 178 baguette-cut diamonds totaling 11.81 carats. The 18K gold dial is set with 392 princess-cut diamonds that are mounted upside down. The crown is set with one diamond weighing .46 carats. Even the folding buckle is set with 42 diamonds. If you’re keeping score, ref. 7639 carries diamonds totaling about 18 carats. The hand-wound movement, visible through the clear sapphire case back, is engraved by hand with a unique musical decoration. 26320OR vs 26470OR vs 26401RO
Anyone know the height difference between the 3 watches from lug to lug? I have the 26320OR and tried on the two offshore's in 44 & 42 recently as i might upgrade and i feel the 44 is the shortest from lug to lug despite it being a 44.

Patek Philippe Collectors Dinner last night in Philadelphia

Last night I had the awesome privilege of joining fellow TRF friends myopiccoog and StuxNet for a collectors gathering in Philadelphia, sponsored by Govberg Jewelers. It was held in the Franklin Institute and we got to view some fantastic pieces on display.Apologies for the lousy camera phone pics as the lighting was a bit dim - good for romance perhaps but not so good for capturing fine details!Clockwise from top left we have:1. 5307P instantaneous perpetual calendar tourbillon with minute repeater. With 40 baguette diamonds (3.91 tcw) it's supposed to have a sound like no other. MSRP approx $850,000.2. 5131 World Time enamel dial in J and G. Much discussed here in TRF so not much detail necessary IMHO. 3. 5074P perpetual calendar minute repeater with cathedral gongs. MSRP approx $620,000.4. 5160R perpetual calendar with retrograde date.
