After some deliberation
So my search for a new timepiece began with looking at the 5167 and 5711. Why Patek, as I have a 15202or and as much as I want it in steel as well, did not think it would be the right way forward. So thought at looking at the other watches in steel. Tried on the 5167r ( as no one had the steel in my city ) and it was an amazingly comfortable watch. Tried on a white dial nautilus 5711 ( again, no one had the blue dial ) and it fit amazingly well on my skinny wrist. Then began doubting myself that 5712 is the way to go. Apart from my desire to go the Patek way, started looking at unique pieces in steel in Audemars. Hence, started looking at the 15305 but the prices apparently have shot up for it, maybe one day. Anyways for the conclusion had seen pictures online of a new Dual Time Novelty being released for SIHH. Wasn't too sure about it as with leather straps I have noticed a gap between my wrist and the strap and it looks too bulky. Its 39mm so thought would give it a try. Called up my
Need help with an Omega...if anyone here knows... :)
I am trying to buy one and can use some help... :)It's a beautiful 1950's 14k Solid gold Omega. Seller says case, chain and movement everything is original. Both case and bracelet is solid 14k. I am yet to examine it. He claims it's all original heirloom and has never been restored. Movement has an omega symbol with 820 written under it. It also says Omega watch swiss, adjusted to 9 positions, 17 jewels. It's a manual wind. Movement seems it needs some cleaning. I am trying to figure what should be a fair price for it...any help or guidance will be appreciated... :)

His & Hers - Incoming!
So for anyone who saw my original thread about a month ago, the day of gifting the watch arrived.https://.rolexforums/showthread.php?t=589801I will say that based on some of the comments from the last thread I did start to wonder if I'd done something wrong, screwed up, etc. and did second guess myself. Turns out I should trust my gut. She absolutely loves it! (Then again who wouldn't love a surprise Rolex. ) The bluesy was a gift for myself based on a career milestone and to scratch an itch I was having after I bought my DJ41. Will add a pic of them together here in a second. signedTwo really happy rolex owners!
How's this for crown orientation?
It's never made sense to me why people think the crown facing up towards 3 o'clock when viewed from the side is correct. The crown facing up towards 12 makes more sense.Picture taken from the official Rolex instagram.Disclaimer: crown orientation does not matter and I don't care at all. Would be nice if they lined up, and I think one day they all will, but it's not an issue.
