Looking Into Buying My first AP
Hello everyone. I am looking into buying the ROO RGRC 42mm (I don't think i can pull off the 44 since my wrist is on the smaller side). As i never bought an AP before, I was wondering what kind of discount does the AP AD typically gives off the sticker price on such a watch? I hear its quite substantial? I haven't been to an AD yet to find out but i would like as much info as possible before i go.I think sticker price is $55K. Is that right? I saw some online (Brand New) going for $38K. Is there an advantage to buying from AD (other than 100% authenticity). Is the warranty void if bought online etc...?I appreciate the help on the above and any other info you guys think is important to know.
Chronomat with B01 movement.
Just wondering what the Breitling experts here think of the chronomat as a daily wear/beater.
45.5mm Planet Ocean Chrono Review
Tried this watch on today, both with the rubber strap and the bracelet. First impressions are that is is very well made, and felt very solid - certainly in the same league as the Sub. Also, its massive!!! I have tried on various Panerai's and so on, but this thing just sits ON your wrist, with no attempt to follow the line of your wrist, as you might expect from a Panerai. This was good and bad. I like the boldness of it, but it looked a bit out of place on my skinny little girl-wrist! Both watches had the black bezel, but the rubber-strapped one has orange highlights on the face, which I think I liked a bit better. I don't rate the looks of the bracelet compared to say a Rolex Oyster bracelet, and so I think over-all I would opt for the strap version over the bracelet. However, as much as I have liked seeing other's ones on here, when it was actually there on my wrist it just wasn't for me. It just didnt do it for me enough and at that kind of cash, 3,150, you have to be 100%.We shal
rookie needs guidance
Hello --This watch belonged to my great uncle and was recently given to me after the passing of my grandmother. I think it may be an old Calatrava, but I honestly have no idea. The hands are not moving and I'm scared to death to try and wind it out of fear that I'll do damage. I would like to get it fixed up and working but don't really know where to start. Any suggestions on:1. What it is?2. What it's worth?3. How to go about getting it working? Thanks so much!
I have dainty wrists, but want a Panerai
Title says it all. I can max wear 40mm, 41 is stretching it. I really want a Panerai, but not sure which model to go with. I was going to head to AD to take a look but they are all closed today.Any suggestions? Thanks.
