New Bell & Ross BR 02 Dive Watches
Bell & Ross has announced two new dive watches that will be available in August. Both models have 44mm steel cases with decompression valves and 1000 meter water resistance, and both are powered by ETA 2892 movements. The differences lie in the finishes. Find pricing inside. The BR 02 Phantom has a black PVD case with a Clou de Paris dial, while the BR 02 Steel sports its natural finish and a carbon fiber dial. For divers, crucial timekeeping is assisted by single-direction toothed interior bezels graduated to 60 mn with a photoluminescent reference point. Both watches have anti-reflective sapphire crystals, and are available on rubber or heavy-duty canvas straps. The BR02 Steel with carbon fiber dial is priced at $3,500. The black PVD BR02 Phantom is $4,000.The images may be enlarged with a click.
Bezel Damage
So I picked up my 15400 last Sunday from my AD. And I noticed that in one week there are three small ding marks on the edge of the bezel in random spots. I know that I haven't smashed the watch into anything, So is this pretty much the normative for an AP bezel? Sure the average person probably wouldn't notice the small dings, but I sure do. I realize metal bezel will get damaged down the line, but didn't expect it so soon. My bracelet is still mint though.

New incoming!!!
There was a thread a few weeks ago on collecting strategy and on what the actual iconic watches were. This made me think. Some of the watches I own came up quite often, i.e. the JLC Reverso, the AP Royal Oak and the Rolex Submariner. Others I own aren't that iconic, so I figured the next watch I would get would be another iconic piece. The budget for a random watch purchase wasn't a PP Nautilus unfortunately, so I was looking for something iconic that fit the random watch purchase budget. So here we go, an Omega Speedmaster Professional. Pretty much one of the most iconic watches out there. I've only had it for a day, but I'm liking it very much so far. The hesalite is really cool and I have ordered a NATO and Zulu strap which are, I think, the coolest on the Speedmaster Pro. Just a quick iPhone pic (I'll add more later):
To Omega or Not
In this rough economic time I am torn between purchasing on of my favorite watches of all times and putting the money to may be a better use. Should I pull the trigger on a new 2254.50 since they are going away or should I make an extra house payment?
