Alpina Gen��ve is launching the new Startimer Classic Collection with designs inspired by original Alpina Pilot watch designs from the 1920s and 30s. The Startimer Classic Collection is available with two different calibers; a three-hand automatic version with date (cal. AL-525) in a stainless steel case and available with either blackened steel indexes or rose-gold plated indexes. The second version is the Chrono-Automatic (cal. AL-860) with two chrono-counters, in a stainless steel case and available with either blackened steel indexes or rose-gold plated indexes. The Chrono-Automatic is also available in a special vintage variation with a telemeter indicator on the dial.The Startimer classic auto is priced at $995 and the Startimer Classic Chrono-Automatic retails for $2,450. 50th Anniversay Sub back from 2nd Rolex Service
I just picked up my 50th Anniversary Submariner which I have owned for almost 10 years from the Rolex Boutique here in Southern California. This was the 2nd time I had taken it back to them for a service within 3 months. It was not even close on accuracy after the first service. The dealer said they would ship it back to Dallas to have them recalibrate it again. So essentially I was without the watch for nearly 4 months. I asked them if they could expedite it since it took 8 weeks the first time and it wasn't serviced correctly but they said No, it will take another 8 weeks. It was a disappointing experience. The store seemed like they could care less. I have no idea if they even sent it back for a recalibration. I hope so! I am going to check the accuracy but I guess in the future I should take it directly to Rolex in Beverly Hills or ship my watches myself. Has anyone else had a poor experience with Rolex service? BLNR vs Motorcycle Wreck
Hello all, I was in a wreck while riding a Harley, hit the ground at about 50mph and was a rag doll for a couple hundred feet. Lucky to be alive and only have some sprains, road rash, and a broken collar bone. The Rolex, while tough as nails, wasn't so lucky.Anyone able to ball park what Rolex might charge to fix? It's a great story for the watch if its fixable!

Baselworld 2018 - Rolex Designers Please Read!
ok, I know this has been discussed at length on this forum and the cake is already baked at Rolex, but Rolex designers need to make this watch...44mm submariner with the 3235 movement with a black and dark blue bezel with the wider glidelock bracelet from the SD43. All stainless with a flatter case back so the watch sits low. The watch does not need a helium escape valve nor the thicker crystal, hence making the watch thinner. No one dives in these watches past 100 feet.If they made this watch with 3 different bezel/face color combos it would be a huge hit. All black, dark green bezel with black face, and blue/black bezel with black face. C'mon Rolex...make this watch! ....And the msrp should be under $9k.
