Panerai Luminor Chrono Daylight Titanium PAM 327 Watch Released
Panerai is pretty regular about their watch release schedule. We tend to get a few new ones each year. With the pre Basel announcements coming up, I expect to see a lot from Panerai this year. One new announcement is the Luminor Chrono Daylight Titanium, which is the ref. PAM 327. This Panerai is distinctly modern in its approach with a broad demographic appeal. I am no Panerai historian, but it is easy to tell that there is mostly "new direction" design accents in this watch. Ignoring the watch itself for a moment, looking at the titanium bracelet indicates a new, more angular look to the masculine watches. Older Panerai metal bracelets featured some really unique curved links. The PAM 327 has what are arguably something simple, plainer Y-shaped links. The look in nice, but not exciting - and the small size of the links adds to wearing comfort, but gone is a lot of the character. The dial itself shows the metallic blue that people go crazy over. It is a great color, and when done right
My AP AD ! @Watchguy18
I am at a loss for words, usually that's never the case but today's fedex delivery left me speechless. I was in Montego Bay last week on a family vacation which happens to be the location of my AD, Jewels In Paradise and my man Dee Doshi who I made sure signed up on TRF, he's Watchguy18 and happened to mention I loved the AP Golf Bag they had on display and Lo & Behold this arrived today..... What an awesome gesture & great guy. Thanks Dee.
Patek - the basics of building a great collection
I am complete novice when it comes to Patek and would be interested in understanding what the basics are of putting together a great Patek collection (in case I win the lotto of course). What are the basic things to look for when buying a Patek? What do collectors value or dislike? What are the dos and don'ts of investing in Patek? How does the market think about/value white gold vs platinum, or rose vs yellow gold? What are the most liquid/understood watches/category of watches? How does wearing them affect the value? What are tips for trying to minmize wear?Should you try and have a strap for daily wear and one in the box?Can/should older watches be restored?Who restores them?It seems like perpetual calendar with chrono is a benchmark watch like the 1518,2499,3970,5970,5270 series. If you were going to build a collection of these as an example, should you try and have all one metal type like white gold, or vary the metals, or get one of each? How about the different series within these watche
Walked Rodeo Drive yesterday and this happened
Now she has a Nautilus too!! And if you haven't been into Geary's in Beverly Hills, it is one of the most beautiful stores I've ever seen. Even the wood on the walls is the same wood used on the Patek boxes. Calatrava symbols on the light fixtures, door knobs, etc. Just a spectacular store!!Happy Sunday y'all!!
I LOVE this feeling.
Guys, I am super excited to meet my new baby tomorrow (according to Dr. Patrick, aka OCROLEXGUY, the baby will be delivered tomorrow afternoon. This baby has been on my list for a long time. Couple years back, an unfortunate event happened to me personally and I had to let go all of my watches. Two years ago, not Lady Luck, but her other cousin Mr. Bad Luck, visited us right on Thanksgiving night. We got robbed at gun points right in our house, right when I put my 7 year old Patrick to bed. All were gone. I have never complained or given up. My wife and I worked tirelessly to care for the children and try to save up to buy back the watches I love so much. Piece by piece, they started to come home. First the GMTIIc, next was the Yacht-Master (for the man that judged my character based on my misspelled of Yacht-Master and for how I did not post enough on this forum ) then the new blue Datejust 41mm, and tomorrow.......my wife and I will welcome our newest baby: Random serial Explorer II
