New Bell & Ross BR 02 Dive Watches
Bell & Ross has announced two new dive watches that will be available in August. Both models have 44mm steel cases with decompression valves and 1000 meter water resistance, and both are powered by ETA 2892 movements. The differences lie in the finishes. Find pricing inside. The BR 02 Phantom has a black PVD case with a Clou de Paris dial, while the BR 02 Steel sports its natural finish and a carbon fiber dial. For divers, crucial timekeeping is assisted by single-direction toothed interior bezels graduated to 60 mn with a photoluminescent reference point. Both watches have anti-reflective sapphire crystals, and are available on rubber or heavy-duty canvas straps. The BR02 Steel with carbon fiber dial is priced at $3,500. Steinhart Le Mans GT Heritage Chronograph new
Steinhart Watches designs have always covered a wide range of styles, from divers to military to racing and more. Recently the popular brand released a new, limited edition model in their racing line that plays homage to the 24 Heures du Mans (24 Hours of Le Mans in English), the oldest active endurance sports car race. The Le Mans GT Heritage Chrono is a limited edition watch of 111 pieces. The watch clearly shows its racing inspiration right on the dial: the GT at 6 o'clock, the bold orange racing stripe down the right side of the dial, and the model number in a race car format at 3 o'clock. Even the strap takes on a racing theme with a handmade leather racing strap by Gunny, with complimentary blue stitching and large holes. Steinhart wanted to capture the essence of the 1960's and 1970's race cars with the design of the Le Mans Heritage. The case of the Steinhart Le Mans GT Heritage Chronograph is one that we have seen before as Steinhart uses it in some of their Aviation line of wat
Thinking about trading my 116520 for a 16710 or Another "Choose for me" thread
I'm about to make the decision on whether or not to trade my white dial Daytona for a no-holes GMT (Originally black, but comes with a Coke insert too) and some cash. I've been wearing my 16610 for several months now, & I haven't missed the Daytona on my wrist. I find the Daytona to be a bit more difficult to read when glancing at an angle, and it's definitely a scratch magnet... BUT IT'S A DAYTONA!!! I love the way both the Daytona and Sub feel on my wrist, and I've posted before about how I hope that the GMT would wear wear similarly to the Sub. I use the date function with some frequency, have no use for the chrono function on the Daytona, and wouldn't have much use for the GMT function (but it would probably be used at some point). The additional cash that I'd get will hopefully go towards a 214270 in the not to distant future, which I believe would round out a great three watch collection. In short, I'm looking for any input that the forum may have to steer me in one direction
Finally Joined the Rolex Family (via Tudor)
After 15 years of watch collecting I'm the closest I've ever been to owning a Rolex, which is to say I just received my Tudor 76200 Date+Day. Big Hat Tip to Adam in Hong Kong for cluing me in that these are still being sold brand new in some Asian Markets. It's everything I never thought I could find: A brand new 40 year old Rolex. A stainless steel day date. A cyclops I can live with. All in an unassuming 36mm case. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
