Right now, we're in a golden age for dive watches. Companies such as Giovino, Palladium and others have made it possible to start your own company with as few as 400 watches, and the Internet has enabled the global reach that lets a niche company flourish. There are many out there, but for this post I'd like to collect my current favorites, representing a range of styles and prices, and in no particular order.Ocean7 LM-1 PVD with PVD sapphire bezelWhy I like itThis one is kind of like buying a car - tons of options, both pre and post sale.Sapphire bezel. Workhorse ETA 2824 movement. What's not to like?Things I dislikeYou can see some distortion from the curvature of the crystal, and I'd prefer just white hands instead of Plongeur style orange. Hello AP Section,I'm considering my first AP. A friend of mine owns a reference #26120ST.OO.1220ST.01 and is considering letting it go for what I think is a good price. It is in very, very nice condition. My question for the forum is: would you consider this to be a good option even if it would be my only AP (at least for some time)? Finally put the rubber on the ROC
Following the lead of orangedial I decided to switch the AP Panda from the bracelet to a rubber strap to give it a different look. Starting my watch obsession with Panerai has made me enjoy the versatility and combinations different straps can bring to a watch and this is no different. Chefs and their watches?
I am a massive fan of cuisine, along with others I'm sure. Ive been cooking since I was very young and have always wished I had become a chef. I'm always visiting new restaurants all over the world, watching cooking / chef related reality shows on TV etc One thing I notice is many chefs have extremely good tastes in watches! I've seen more rolexes consistently on chefs than I have anywhere else in the wild. Could be because I spend too much time in restaurants lolAnyone on here a chef professionally?
