Reborn Halda Watch Co. to Send Timepiece Into Space
Swedish manufacturer Halda Watch Co. has announced that ESA astronaut Christer Fuglesang will wear a new watch called the Halda Space Discovery during a trip aboard the shuttle Discovery, currently scheduled to launch on August 28. The watch was developed with Fuglesang to meet an astronaut’s requirements, and the trip into space is part of the development process. The watch – to be produced in a limited edition of 128 pieces – will go on sale in December. The Halda Space Discovery consists of a “time platform” with two replaceable time modules: an advanced electronic module, and a module with a high beat mechanical movement modernized by renowned watchmaker Svend Andersen. The electronic time module provides functions such as a 3�\axis accelerometer, a particle counter, UTC/MET alarms, and an Earth Timer. There's going to be a rather interesting watch presented later this year at SalonQP 2013 in London - an atomic pocket watch called the No. 10 by Hoptroff. At first blush, you're probably thinking that it's just another atomic radio signal-syncing timepiece, albeit one that's in a different format than we're used to seeing (and even quite different from Bathys' Cesium 133 atomic clock watch creation). However, this has the potential to be something a whole lot cooler (and one you likely wouldn't want to take through airport security). Hello to all,Can anyone please help if the metal bracelet clasp got the same width on the 42 and 45 mm PO? I know it is 18 mm wide (the clasp) on the 42 but dont know about the 45 mm.Thanks,Attila

As you may have seen my other posts, I'm now very actively looking for a PP for myself and as with the Rolex, I asked my wife if she'd like one (hopefully in the appropriate price range). BLNR: I֪ Noticing a Trend
I’m not the “matching” type of guy. In fact, I’m anti-matching often times. I don’t necessarily want to clash, but I avoid looking too matchy-matchy. My father matches everything. Literally, everything. And I inherited his limited attention span, love of cars, love of watches, and dedication to his wife. But not his desire to match. That said, I’m noticing a very unconscious trend with me. Maybe it’s a sign from the watch gods.
