Anonimo Watches: A Rebirth In Florence, Italy
The birth - or occasional rebirth - of a company is always a noteworthy phenomenon in the galaxy of watch making.?It is so because it either grants us the chance to follow the formation of a new star that will shine on for decades or even centuries to come or the sight of a falling star, something that only temporarily existed and barely left anything significant behind. What we have now is the rare opportunity to take a closer look at the earliest stages of a watch brand's revival as I was among those invited by Anonimo to visit them in the beautiful Italian town of Florence. We gathered to discover and to discuss their plans for the future and also to?see where and how they will have their trademark brass cases manufactured. Those familiar with the brand will know that the creation of Anonimo in 1997 already meant a second chance, a new beginning in itself. It happened that year that Officine Panerai (which was also based in Florence at the time) was purchased by the Vendome Group of
Breitling hold better time than Rolex
Is this normal for most people? The two Breitlings that I have, hold a lot better time than the Rolex watches I've seen (mine and other family members). What are the differences that make this happen or is it just luck of the draw?
Seamaster Professional case backseal
Just wondering what the position is re the case back seal. I have had the back off to regulate my SMP and would like to know if I need to exchange the o-ring for a new one each time the case back is removed? Got it running to within a second or two a day and the same over the course of a week with the occasional winder down position over night.I am not planning on diving, perhaps the occasional holiday swim. I have tightened up the case back with reasonable force, just seeking opinions before getting wet!Is it also worth changing the stem seal(s), is this a DIY job? If so does one release the stem with the winder in the winding or adjusting position? I assume there is some sort of detent spring that releases the stem. Does it simply re-insert? Am I out of my league and should I just give it to an AD.Also seem to be having a little trouble finding a OEM case seal in the UK (case ref 168.1622) by searching the web, are these seals fairly universal or do I need a genuine Omega one?
Can I pull this off? (Pam372) - opinions please
Hi allI visited the panerai ad last weekend to try the 372...I love the look of the watch but of course was concerned about it's size. if the 390 were still available I'd probably go for that, since the 44mm luminor case is a good fit for me... so anyway:Here are a few pics I snapped off the watch on my wrist. Do you guys think I can pull it off? The lugs I think overhang slightly over the edges of my wrist. I'm 6' tall with thin lanky build...Thx for your opinions!!Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 4
