Baselworld 2015: New Rado HyperChrome Watches (Updated with Live Photos & U.S. Prices)
Rado is known for coupling sturdy, athletic timepieces with innovative materials and designs, and the brand's new models for Baselworld are no exception. This year at Baselworld Rado introduces several new additions to its HyperChrome collection.Rado's new HyperChrome watches make use of an unusual material. Plasma ceramic is extremely durable and resistant to scratching, as all ceramic watches are. But it also is treated to have a brilliant, metallic hue. This color will not fade over time.There are three new HyperChrome automatics coming to market this year. The Rado HyperChrome Automatic XL (above) is set to launch in the fall. It has a 42-mm case, built in a monobloc (one-piece) construction. The plasma ceramic gives it a glossy gunmetal color. It also has accents in rose gold PVD on the hands and indexes. December Watch Winner Round-Up
During December 2010 you readers had the chance to win not one, but seven timepieces here on aBlogtoReadwatches-dealer. I usually ask winners to give me images and a review of the watches, but given that there were a lot of winners for December, I thought it would just be nice to do a pictorial post with "wrist shots." One of the winners is missing as I didn't get shots from them yet - but I will include an image of winner of the Magrette Moana Pacific PVD watch winner ASAP. I am really thrilled that everyone is enjoying their new watches.? Congrats again to the winners, thanks again to the sponsors, and keep trying in the future if you haven't won a watch yet. Bentley GMT Midnight Limited Edition: Question
Local AD has what he has described as the above watch, however it has black diamonds on the lugs and is supposedly limited to 50 units. The only thing I can find that at all describes the watch is from a Mercedes forum which they describe as a Breitling for Bentley GMT Midnight Screamer which is limited to 500 units, and on a Breitling forum with a cropped picture from the Merc site saying its 50 units and only 10 for the US. Went to another ad and went through the Chronolog and price list and they can't find anything on this watch. Any ideas?? Is this something super rare or is it just something jazzed up by the AD?
