Go Offshore in Style
Another milestone, another celebration! This year we see AP refreshes its basic 42mm ROO line after a successful 20 years of voyage. Much have been discussed about since SIHH 2014, the good, the doubtful, the controversial and AP has been busy going around the world to officially launch these new timepieces in style. It's always a pleasure to attend one of these parties to witness and celebrate the happy occasion. This time, AP Singapore picked a tranquil location at the popular Dempsey Hill area for the event. As usual, the setting was trendy, the food was exquisite, the atmosphere was merry and overall feeling was appropriately Offshore chic :) Oliviero and guestsAssorted cheese and pastryPotato chips that looked like dry leaves!Edible sandMy snacksThere was a display corner at one end of the party hall which was set up to showcase the iconic 42mm ROO timepieces from its birth in 1993 till date. It was fascinating to see those elusive Limited Editions which are usually rare to be see
What strap is awesome on a Speedy
Hey Guys,With all the Speedys around on this forum I was interested in getting some ideas on what straps people are running on them, as I am about to break with my traditional and beloved Seamaster SMPs and pick up my first 3570 Speedy.I have nothing against the bracelets and will swap back occasionally but I do prefer straps. If anyone has some photos of their Speedys or ideas on straps please feel free to post away.Cheers
Aqua Terra Chronograph GMT
I am a beginner in watches and lot of things gets me curious and asking question is my last hope when Google doest have answers.I have been studying all the watches on the Omega website, The Aqua Terra Chronograph GMT watch got me curious. What is the use of the chronograph function and how to read it when there is no tachymetre dial on the watch ? Am I missing something here ? Any education is appreciated.
Adding a 5711r to a 5711a blue
Has anyone done this? I love my 5711. It's comfortable, stealth to all but WIS, and it just feels like a special watch. I've only run into 2 other nautiluses ever, in the wild. That said, I really like rose gold, and while yeah, it's the same watch, it'll feel different enough, and it's a different color, at the very least. Really, I'm just looking for enablers or smack in the head. I've also considered the 5980a, but I'm not really sold on the thickness or weight. I also have a 5164a and a lange 1815 chrono boutique in white gold, if you want to consider how a 5711r might or might not fit into my collection.
Please opinions needed : is 5167/A-001 + 5960P a fair trade for 3970J ?
Mine Aqua on bracelet and 5960P are complete, and the seller's 3970J has extracts, both backs sapphire and solid. What do you guys think?best and thanks in advance
