Jaeger-LeCoultre and Aston Martin Launch New AMVOX7 Chronograph
In 2005, Swiss watch brand Jaeger-LeCoultre joined with British car maker Aston Martin to produce the first AMVOX, ushering in JLC’s line of “vertical trigger” chronograph wristwatches. This year, the luxury brands join forces once more on the AMVOX7, the first model with a radial power-reserve display. The AMVOX7 Chronograph, which commemorates the eighth anniversary of the partnership between Jaeger-LeCoultre and Aston Martin, features a new, more ergonomically designed case and modifications to the crown, lugs and strap that are also meant to ensure optimum wearer comfort.Like the first AMVOX watch and all the others that followed it, the AMVOX7 has as its signature feature a chronograph mechanism that is operated not by side-mounted push-buttons but by simply pressing on the watch’s crystal. Pressing the top of the crystal near 12 0’clock starts and stops the chronograph, while pressing on the lower half of the glass resets it to zero. A trigger located
The Glashtte Original Senator Observer (Live Pics, Specs, Pricing)
Glashütte Original, like Zenith, may not win the praise of the most demanding collectors, but there is a quiet charm about them. Residing literally just next door to the other Glashütte-based high-end manufacture, GO goes about producing subtle and elegant wristwatches without much fuss or fanfare, but they are all excellently made, and all produced entirely in-house. For the uninitiated, a deck watch was a hand-held pocket watch that navigators would use as backup to the ship's marine chronometer. Of course the chronometer was the standard by which all measurements were made, but a deck watch allowed all sailors to do their o
Presentation Box question Speedmaster LE
I have a chance to get a LE Speedmaster, one of the 50th ones (the 5957 run)It comes with everything but the presentation box which has the patch... I have found some others (complete), but they are close to the same price to $400 more...Is it worth it in the long run to have the full kit? I do tend to flip after a while... Thanks to all who respond...
5980/1r-001
How well do you guys think this watch will retain it's value? I assume production numbers are/will be quite limited and it will eventually be replaced by a RG version of 5990. I'm looking for a Patek on bracelet that isn't a steel Nautilus since I already have a 5711/1a and 5980/1a. Other option is the 5960/1a.
