Very simply, the Oris "Der Meistertaucher" regulator is the largest watch
This spectacular underwater giant has a diameter of 49 mm, case 15,25 mm thickness and a volume of 565.2mm3. Very simply, the Oris "Der Meistertaucher" regulator is the largest watch oris has ever produced! But big is really beautiful - and practical - the Oris of the diving world.
Swatch "Superlot" Achieves US $6 Million At Sotheby's Hong Kong
A collection that took more than 25 years to amass, and consisted of more than 5,800 Swatch & Art pieces sold on Tuesday for USD $6 Million. The winning bidder was a European institution, claiming the win after over 30 bids with two other opponents in the action. 1 OF 2 Swatch has been making Swatch & Art models since 1983 as collectible watches inspired by pop culture. Artists, musicians and fashion designers have contributed designs over the decades. An example is the model above, designed by artist Markus Linnenbrink whose work can be found in museums all around the world - in addition to people's wrists, thanks to Swatch. The seller of the "superlot", Mr. Paul Dunkel said, “I have been very happy and emotional to see the international interest in my collection over the past months. This is a true testament to the universal appeal of Swatch. I would like to deeply thank Sotheby’s for their hard work, as well as my art advisor, 1858 Lim
Another Belated Incomer !! 48mm BEAST
Got this a few weeks ago, haven't gotten a chance to post it up !For those who have seen it in person, you can appreciate the quality/details and finishing as with most AP's prob.. However, the ceramic really must be seen in person, the brushing of the case/bezel is unreal when the sun hits it Wears really well despite its size
Suggestions on a sports watch
I'm sure what the answer will be from most, but I'll ask anyway. I have always liked collecting watches, and was buying Tag and Hamilton level stuff. I just made the jump to a DJII, and now want a new weekend sports watch to compliment it. Long story short is I love the Breitling Superocean 42 and the Explorer II. With that said after just buying my first Rolex my budget is a little shot. I know very little about Breitling watches, but is the Superocean a good fill in until I can get an Explorer II down the road?(most likely several years).
World Time: 5110, 5130 or 5230?
Which World Timer do you prefer? The oldest 5110 at 37mm, the 5130 at 39.5mm, or the latest 5230 at 38.5mm?Personally I have to say I like the cleaner dial of the 5130 compared to the new 5230. I also prefer the larger size.
