Chopard L.U.C Engine One H Watch
For 2013 Chopard?will release a new version of the L.U.C Engine One watch that was originally debuted back in 2010 (we have some hands-on pictures here). The new watch is called the L.U.C Engine One H, "H" likely standing for "horizontal," which is exactly what is new about this timepiece. The in-house made Chopard L.U.C tourbillon movement has been inserted into the case horizontally versus vertically. The result is a fresh looking design.Frankly I like the new design better. Mostly because I like the increased size wearable on the wrist. The manually wound movement was designed to look roughly engine-like, especially with those linear grooves - a style you've seen in a new generation of more simple in-house made Chopard movements that we debuted here. The titanium case will be 44.5mm wide with an exhibition caseback with a view of the caliber o4.02 L movement. Functions include the time, power reserve indicator, and of course a tourbillon. How do you feel about that nice thick leathe
Seiko Star Wars Watches
Seiko watches is about to release the mother of all limited edition watches for us nerds. In celebration of both the 35th anniversary of Star Wars as well as the upcoming release of the films in 3D, Seiko will release six limited edition models for a total of 5,000 pieces. Star Wars is likely one of the most powerful franchises in existence and continues to capture the time, minds, and spending money of fans internationally. Combining something cool with Star Wars is frequently a recipe for success. I have to admit that I never saw this limited edition set coming, but it is one of the reasons why I love Seiko - because stuff like this comes out of the woodwork.First of all, the entire set will be launched on October 12th, 2012. I don't know if that is only in Japan or internationally. I believe that the models will be mostly available in Japanese retail locations with some internet sales and possibly limited?distribution?internationally. If you want one, start checking online in a few
Bretling Airwolf Watch
Breitling 2011 is the 100th anniversary of naval aviation . I assumed that this means that we have been flying planes above water for 100 years? This may seem on the right. To celebrate this they release some timepieces with a special "100th anniversary of Naval Aviation" limited edition seal on the dial - in for the foundation of the same name. The first model of the celebration of 2011 is this really nice version of their shows Airwolf watch, but wolves never fly or travel in the water!
GMTc TT, or 16710 Pepsi?
I have a SUBc date and I love it. I have been looking at the GMTc TT for a while and it's been growing on me although I wasn't a big fan of TT for a while. I have tried the full gold and it was just too much for my liking. It also wouldn't make a good daily wearer. The 16710 is also lovely. I am just having trouble justifying paying almost the same price as a new tt GMTc. While having the old clasp. I have darker skin and noticed the TT looks nice on my skin. I love the Pepsi but afraid it might not look good on me. What do you guys think? Thanks for everyone's help in advance.Sent from my SM-N920C using Tapatalk
Incoming. SS Rolex (BLNR). From a UK AD(!!!)
Finally got the call today. Absolutely stoked. Deposit down. Pick up on Saturday. I thought, since from time to time on here folk enquire about getting hold of popular sports Rolexes in the UK, I'd briefly relay my experience. I'm not an expert, and I'm not saying what I've done is the best or only way of getting hold of one. But it's what I did. Bear in mind, this will be my first Rolex, albeit I have a few nice watches from other brands I had no kudos with any AD save for an Omega boutique. I'm not a VIP, nor a big spender on PM watches. So the hunt began last Summer. Saw a BLNR in Watchfinder Canary Wharf and fell for it - this watch looks so much better in the metal and on the wrist than any picture. I went straight across to the nearest AD (WOS Canary Wharf) and got myself a place at number 140(!) on their waiting list (quoted 1 year). Then, with my wife for some unknown reason enthused about the hunt, I resolved to incorporate finding local Rolex AD's on our frequent weekend trip
