UK Patek Dealers
Hi allI'd like to try on various Patek models (particularly the Nautilus and Aquanaut); are there any UK dealers in locations perhaps less accessible (and thus more likely to have stock) than London that people would recommend?Ultimately, I'd like to put my name down on a list (for the good it will do!) but I'd like to do it somewhere where I'm not competing against multi-millionaires who will always get priority.Any advice?
Panerai Boutique - Johannesburg
I'm hopefully off to Jo'burg with Mrs Van D on Wednesday night just for a couple of days. I've been in correspondence with the Panerai boutique making a stock enquiry. The price of the 533 isn't very competitive (unfortunately), which is most likely down to the weak GB. I can do a lot better here in the UK and I'm (here's that word again - hopefully) home for Christmas. My man in Singapore will also do better but, that said, I haven't asked about discounts because I'm not sure that's the done thing in email. I didn't ask about the 372 but I think that's most likely my next acquisition anyway.Whilst the numbers might not work, the chaps that have replied to my emails seem like pretty decent guys so I'll try to get over to the boutique anyway to say hello and have a mooch. Has anyone any experience of the Jo'burg boutique?
Back from RSC New York, Care of Rolex Mich Ave. 111% satisfied!!
Dear All,So I gently complained about the $1350.00 RSC charge, but am super satisfied. First off, like to thank Rolex Boutique, Mich. Ave (Sales associates, Ben and Andrew) for their customer service and hospitality. Second, I don't have pics prior to service, since I didn't think about it, but my watch was pretty beat up. I dailyed it literally for 6 years and it was pretty beat up. It had a 1/5 of inch scar on the bezel at the 200 mark. There was a significant scratch/dent on the clasp and I know I dinged the crown/lugs a couple of times on my kitchen counter. Additionally, minute scratches all over the watch. Third, I took about 10 pics for those of you who want finer detail as to the RSC service. I was wearing a swatch for about a month and noticed how the Daytona bezel was really pronounced this time. Like it had a heft to it. Also, I told the sale associate to not polish the bezel, but it was polished anyway. Other Rolexers would prob. be mad, but I was happy that the
Atlanta AD Sightings
Just walked out of an AD that currently has a SS Sub Date, LN GMT and a Polar Exp2. If I can help facilitate getting you one, DM and I'll get you info.
Could anyone here please tell me what the MRSP is for the two tone GMT in the USA?
The information on the thread Rolex prices across countries seems to be out of date for the United States prices, it should show the price on the Rolex website but I unfortunately cannot view the US price from my country. Thank you in advance.
