Incoming Speedmaster!!
While I've wanted the Snoopy and Alaska Project Speedmasters for longer than I can remember, one look at the Apollo 11 35th Anniversary Speedy drove me nuts and before you know it, I was busy talking to Henry (who has been awesome). I should hopefully have the watch by the end of the week if all goes to plan. Needless to say, I cannot wait! Copper
Perpetual Pateks Still Come With Winder Boxes?
Does anyone know whether perpetual Pateks are still sold in the U.S. with a winder presentation box? I bought a new 5140 two weeks ago from an AD. It came with a beautiful wooden presentation box, but no winder. Have they been discontinued, or did the AD keep it? Wanted to check here before complaining. I can't find anything on Patek's website concerning the accessories, other than the solid case back and setting tool.
Which Panerai to pop the cherry on
I want my next watch to be a Panerai and I have been looking around. It seems like there are so many different Panerai out there. Two features that I've been really attracted to are the california dial or a white dial Panerai.I have a change to buy the PAM051, i like the white dial on it but the fact that its ETA movement seems to deter me away.I'm also attracted to PAM 242 or 249 but the 47mm seems super big on my wrist. I'm just curious, what was everyone's first Panerai? what did they like the most about it?
How Does the GMT solve this Problem??
I'm currently in Afghanistan, which is 11 AND 1/2 timezones ahead of my home, in San Diego. Yes, it is 11 hours AND THIRTY MINUTES ahead of San Diego. It is odd, I know, and I didn't think that a half timezone existed, but apparently it does.Does the Rolex GMT have a way to make up for that difference? Based on my limited time handling 1675s and 16710s, I would say No. I believe that their dual timezone is based on full timezones, and not half/thirty minute timezones.Anyone have any insight for this? Thanks!V/RMike
