Cadence 4:20 Watch For The Most Important Time Of The Day
Not that Cadence is the last brand I would have guessed may release a timepiece like this, but the sport watch brand wasn't HIGH on the list. For those needing a bold reminder when it is blaze hour, Cadence offers up the 4:20 watch. A pretty simple minimalistic design with baton hour markers and hands, save for a bold Arabic numeral indicator at 4:20. Actually, the indicator is at 4 o'clock, but when the hour and minute hand are touching it - the time will be 4:20.The explanation they give for the watch is rather amusing: "If you think 4:20 is the most important time of day, this watch is for you. If you have no idea why 4:20 is a special time of day, there is nothing here for you."Growing up in California I know exactly what it means - and it isn't tea time. It is marijuana smoking time - for those so inclined. Now you have a pretty subtle watch you can wear with a suit, but one that you can stare at and also have a daily reminder of your daily habit. Watch Talk with David Pittsinger : Opera Singer - Broadway Star - Watch Collector
What drives my passion for watches is not only the representation of time - and the complications - and the intricate dials - but the faces of those who feel the same. Especially when you get them talking. No matter what they do for a living, or who they are day-to-day, their interest in watches shapes them and their professions in so many intrinsic, unifying ways.I'm always intrigued to speak to someone new about their fascination with watches - and what makes their love unique. Here's a profile of a man who is an aficionado of watches, an accomplished American Bass-Baritone opera-star, and a rising star on Broadway.David Pittsinger - a modern watch collector with classic tastes - who brings his love for watches onto the stage with him.Omega Tank Watch - Rolex GMT II Dualmaster - Rolex Cellini DanaosMolly McDermott: Tell me how your profession and talent has enhanced and enabled your love of watches? 125th anniversary navitimer
I'm thinking about obtaining a stainless/black strap 125th anniversary nav. A local dealer still has one from 09. Brand new. Retails at 5900 but I will get a significant deal. Thoughts? Any knowledge of the eta based movement?

PVD coating durability
I know for many of you a PVD treated Rolex is pure blasphemy, but for those others that actually own or have owned a Rolex with a PVD treatment, I'd love to get some feedback (and some photos) on how well the PVD has held up. It seems that one of the knocks against them is that if you get a serious scratch, there's not much you can do other than use a sharpie and just deal with it.However, my experience has been different. I have a PVD Panerai that has seen a lot of wear, and it doesn't have a single scratch on it. It does have an interesting patina around the edges of the case. I also have a PVD treated Sinn U1, and I don't think it's possible to scratch that thing. After nearly a decade it doesn't have a blemish anywhere on the case. On top of that, I had a DLC treated Nighthawk Custom 1911, and I had a similar experience - no scratches anywhere.So...let's see em if you got them. Please post pictures of your well worn PVD Rolexes. I'd also be curious to compare the difference betwee
