Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda Retrograde Annual Calendar
Parmigiani Fleurier’s manufacturing team has created both hand-wound and automatic movements, including the perpetual calendar, tourbillons, an ultra-slim model, chronograph, the Bugatti and the Hemispheres, but an annual calendar was missing, until now. It appears in the Tonda collection in a case measuring 40mm in diameter. The new complication is based on the brand’s PF 331 automatic movement, with the incorporation of a new additional Parmigiani module, creating the PF 339 Annual Calendar. The Annual Calendar automatically accounts for the variation in the number of days in each month. Only one manual correction needs be made each year, (for the month of February in non-leap years). In a leap year, the date will display February 29 and will automatically advance to March 1 the following day.The Tonda Retrograde Annual Calendar features a hand which indicates the date from 1-31 on the retrograde sector on the outer dial. The day of the week is positioned at 9 o’cloc
IWC Portofino Hand-Wound Monopusher Chronograph Watch
With the new IWC Portofino Hand-Wound Monopusher Chronograph, "IWC presents its first-ever model with an ingenious single push-button chronograph" for Watches & Wonders 2015 (essentially SIHH for Asia, taking place in Hong Kong this Fall). The timing of this?debut, perhaps not without a hint of irony, is fortunate, as it comes shortly after we have discussed at length this particular?complication in our recent "Why Monopusher Chronographs Are Primitive & A Brief History Of The Chronograph Watch Complication" feature article. With all that's been said there, but no prejudices on our mind, let's see how?this latest addition to the IWC Portofino line is new.Available in two?colorways C in 18k white gold with a dark, metallic brown dial and in 18k red gold with a silver?plated dial C the new IWC Portofino Hand-Wound Monopusher?Chronograph features IWC's in-house made?59360 caliber. At 45 millimeters wide, IWC?once again went for what probably is the largest diameter that could poss
Edmond Pole Guardian Watches - Now With Bracelets!
A little over a year ago, Ariel showed you the Edmond Pole Guardian watch which features a very cool and rather unique AM/PM 24 hour dial complication using three rotating discs to align 24 hour time with a conventional 12 hour handset (video here). For those of you who weren't game on the rubber strap seen in the review, Edmond is now offering the?Pole Guardian with an optional bracelet and we think it nicely rounds out the design and makes for a more appealing overall package.Bumping up the rubber strap price from $1380 USD to $1540 USD, we definitely think the bracelet is worth the additional cash. This solid stainless steel bracelet is, sorry for the pun, the missing link in the Pole Guardian design and integrates beautifully into its short lugs. The Edmond Pole Guardian is an interesting, distinct and innovative sport watch that can certainly benefit from the addition of an OEM bracelet option. Also note that the bracelet is available for other Edmond watch models.Written by James

Picked up the 5524G recently. I have the say the watch is so much better than photo suggested! Right size on the wrist.Got a case as a gift from the AD. I almost picked the tie but am glad I chose the travel case instead.Lovely piece! IMG_7076 copy.JPG
41mm Datejust Jubilee Bracelet Crown Clasp
Hey everyone,I am new to watch collecting, but have a background in some other collectibles that fit well with watches, mostly coins and other antiques, some bourbon, and I like to collect houses'. I have also decided that I am ready to purchase my first Rolex in 2018. This is something I have wanted all of my life, and I am having some trouble figuring out a few things moving forward. I know for example that I want a Two-Tone Yellow Gold 41mm Datejust Black Diamond Dial Fluted Bezel on a Jubilee Bracelet with a Crown ClaspMy problem seems to be finding this exact setup with the crown stealth Clasp. I decidedly do NOT want or like the look of the oyster Clasp on this configuration, but I don't see the option available anywhere. What are my options for something like this? Is it a call to Rolex for a custom job? Are they already out in the wild? Is it coming soon'? Pardon my ignorance, but I am unable to locate this answer and feel as if I may be looking for something that does not ex
