Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Eight Days Perpetual 16124SQ Watch Available On James List
Back in 2007 Jaeger-LeCoultre released this Master Eight Days Perpetual calendar? (ref. 16124SQ) watch - and it still looks beautiful today. With an original price of about $100,000 , there are (relative) deals to be found today. The skeletonized black 'frosted' movement is amazing to look at, but you'll have to forgive the design for making you hunt a bit for all the information that you have available on the dial. The movement color is actually due to ruthenium, and there are transparent discs all over the dial.Set in a 41mm wide 18k pink gold "Master" collection case, the watch nicely mixes classic Jaeger-LeCoultre aesthetic with the visual interest of a modern style skeletonized movement. Latest Addition to My Collection
I just picked this up from the Omega Boutique at Tysons Galleria. I've been interested in this watch ever since I saw Mark Harmon wearing one with the orange rubber band on NCIS a couple of seasons ago. Then this year Keith Urban wore one like this while judging on American Idol.I've only had it a couple of hours, but so far really like how it wears.
PP deployant vs pin buckle
Deployant or pin buckle, which do you prefer and why? I'm about to pick up a new watch (pictures next week) and it's platinum with a pin buckle and I'm considering converting to a deployant. Due to cost concerns Tracy the strap lady at H. Stern suggested white gold which makes sense, it's 2K cheaper. I've heard the deployant is more secure when taking the watch on and off and the pin buckle is more secure in terms of the watch staying on the wrist and not falling off inadvertently. Is this correct? I've owned the 5205 with pin buckle and it seemed to pull the watch to one side of my wrist. I've tried on a 5960 with deployant and the fit was perfect, the shape of my wrist seems to be ok with the deployant and from what I've read that is sometimes a problem. Thanks in advance for your answers.
